hughes is a first grade level fullback bumped to halfback because they have no one else. His running and breaking tackles is ahead of Moses but in no other way is he comparable as a half. Munster and Hughes combo was great during peak vlandys ball when the game was fast and lots of open space and momentum for the attacking team but now we have slowed back down to pre covid football a real play maker is needed and Harry is really the one making anything happen.

Yeah nah, J Hughes is an excellent halfback. His vision and ability to organise Storms attack while allowing Papenhuyzen (when he actually plays) and Munster to execute, while still also having the ability to catch lazy defence offguard and run it himself.

He's a more threatening Cooper Cronk

Rubbish comment re Hughes, hes turned into a great 7 with a rare combination of game control and running at the line skills. Like the scrum halves of old. Maybe we need more FB's to convert to 7's!
