Roosters vs Rabbitohs/Storm/Panthers since 2020:

Played 21, Won 4, Lost 17

Average For: 15.1
Average Against: 28.3

3 of those wins vs Souths too.

I can't see them troubling the Panthers. Penrith's attack might be clunky AF right now but their defence is still league leading and I don't see how the Roosters can score enough points against them.

Souths record wasn't much better at 7-15 between 2020-2022 against storm Penrith and roosters with 5 of those wins against roosters.

I don't think it's a news flash that teams have struggled against Penrith and Melbourne in that time frame.

This year you guys are 2-3 against those opponents, we are 1-1.

Both teams are out of sorts. Expecting a close and low-scoring game.

Penrith by 1.

Based on how clunky both teams attacks have appeared in recent weeks, dare I call this a bit of a cripple fight?

Our form lines are actually remarkably similar.

Both teams in the last fortnight have won low scoring affairs against the warriors and both have lost in the wet against bottom feeders.

Both teams are also 5-4 with a bye on the season, it is just that the panthers attack has clicked twice against the raiders and manly otherwise they would be bottom half of the 8 with us.

Panthers are going to get pumped I reckon

Media are laying into Roosters like they are the Tigers this week. Expect a big bounce back

I don't know that we pump them, we probably don't win but I do expect an improved performance and to give it a red hot crack.

Don't know why the media have honed in on us. Melbourne, Penrith and cronulla have the exact same record... like exactly the same and storm have lost games to manly, titans and bulldogs this year.

It's all abit overblown as funny as I find it. Storm lost by more than Roosters on the weekend

I'm guessing they are desperate for some drama somewhere with Tigers having a good fortnight

Very similar.

Used to the Roosters starting the season slowly. Not so much Penrith. We still have the best defence in the comp which I'm hanging on to.

Probably because Roosters were touted as Premiership favourites alongside Penrith whereas people have been expecting/waiting for Storm to drop for years.

See Walker is in the extended squad. Any chance Robbo swallows his pride and gives up on the Manu at 6 experiment?

It's the other way around usually. Trent Robinson loves to get cute when he plays Penrith.

Manu at 6 has been the go against Penrith in the past. I think the idea was that Manu had great defence and could shut down the Luai/Kikau edge early.
