I am wondering why it has taken so long for Todd Payten to drop Hiku and insert the famous Japanese superstar centre Gehamat Shibasaki into the lineup.

For those that don't know, Shibasaki represented the Australian Prime Ministers XIII all the way back in 2018, with his now team mates Chad Townsend and Reece Robson.

This was a controversial selection at the time, as the Samurais, looking to compete in the emerging nations world cup, had named both Gehamat and his brother Enemarki in their squad.
