300m Tesltra is for Marval comms.

Nothing to do with tradition broadcasting.

Telstra are not in the streaming app business anymore.

Those subs where migrated over to Kayo years ago.

So on traditional broadcasting it looks a little like this.

So essentially the NRL has already closed the gap, its just the AFL have added another line of revenue to muddy the waters on the whole comparison.

The AFL tried there best to get PVL fired with this move.

Just my thoughts.

There is a reason the NRL clubs did not say a word about PVL performance regarding the broadcast deal.

Well your first column is wrong for starters lol. AFL announced $398.5mill media cash and $16mill contra in their 2022 financial report. Why would their contra double in 23&24? AFL announced $4bill is cash for 25-31 not $4.114bill. Why would Telstra up cash payment $20mill a year when they have lost streaming rights in that deal?
You're figures dont seem to be very good guesses.

Its documented history - there are any number of press conferences with vision of the Telstra CEO sitting alongside the AFL CEO, Newcorp reps and Seven execs to prove this point. It certainly is not some made up f**king bullshit you concoct for you to feel better about your media deals since Telstra dropped out of them.

Not the thread for it, I wont be engaging this bullshit again.

Your reasoning = Trust me bro.

My reasoning is literal evidence of the closer of streaming from telstra and Telstra's new Marval comms/sponsor signage deal.

I have given links above.

Your evidence ''trust me bro''

hahaha

My reasoning is literally contained in every announcement since at least 2007.

Its not a "trust me bro" situation. Its willful ignorance on your part.

In a record-breaking $1.25 billion deal, the Seven Network has emerged as the major free-to-air broadcast partner for the 2012-2016 seasons – with Foxtel holding pay-TV rights and Telstra securing online and mobile coverage.

Channel 7 and pay-TV giant Foxtel have secured the AFL's broadcast contracts, with the online rights going to Telstra.

The new deal will see Channel Seven, Foxtel and Telstra continue as the League's broadcasters under the new deal, which will run from 2017 to 2022.

The ARL Commission, Nine Network, News Corp Australia, FOX SPORTS, and Telstra have formed a partnership to provide free to air television, pay television and mobile coverage of Rugby League for five years from 2018.

The AFL has extended its broadcast agreement with Foxtel and Telstra for two years, to the end of the 2024 season, meaning the league's free-to-air, digital and pay-TV broadcast deals are all locked in for the next four years.

THE AFL has landed the biggest sports broadcast rights deal in Australian history after extending its partnership with the Seven Network, Foxtel and Telstra for another seven seasons.

Never heard so much about the flog ball today,on every page. Who cares if they get more money or whatever they get. As long as we're winning the ratings war that's all we should be concerned about. And another thing, stuff them and their 80 minutes of constant drop ball😴

Week 3 100%, but GF im not to sure as of yet, we normally have a GF BBQ at a mates house and watch the game. How about you bro?
I’m retired lol

I never used to miss a gf

I had centreline seats at anz. 3k a year, just under the coaches boxes, seat for every game there. But I hated going solo cause my friends didn’t wanna buy tickets

when you say week 3 only the one in Sydney not Brisbane ?

panthers vs storm ? Meh

It’s boring as neutral knowing Penrith are going to smash everyone

People are looking at it the wrong way.

Watch the set before Martin's try for example.

Right to left. Then back again plenty of ball movement and completing at 86%

much better than pre rule changes that was block play after block play

It’s a compliment

Penrith are too good then once their opposition tires they go down a few gears
