How didna suncorp sell out get 42k .. surely 10k members just didn't show
This has been explained a few times. Members and corporates have about 10-12k seats reserved. They often don't show - some of their bays looked 40-50% full today.

Our GA areas have a capacity capped at about 70% (from my estimates), but they often seem lower.

I'm starting to think that some attendees aren't being counted. I might email the Broncos again.

Bored waiting for Manly to give their crowd (obviously not a big priority)
In any case last year after round 12:
2023: Aggregate 1,798,454 Ave 18,734

If this year's round 12 was 160,000
The figures will be
2024: Aggregate 1,896,715 Ave 19,757 (up 5.5%)

Could understand 50 % of members turn up even 40% don't show .. but based on that number zero showed ..

Why doesn't broncos move those seats over to the west side ..

Looks shit with those 3 bays half empty most games

You're missing that the capacity is reduced due to GA areas too, and of course the other full season members that might not have been able to attend.

The Broncos have no control over the Suncorp stadium members. And the western stand is old and does not have the stadium member facilities.

I know that you're here to spread negativity, but come on now. This looks shit? (slide 3 for the eastern side).

Suncorp does have a high bar .. for the looks shit award.. and accor is the always the carry over champion we know that ..

I have just never in my life heard of a "sell out " that pulls in 78% of capacity in Australian sport

42,221 of 52,500 is actually 80.4% if we want to get specific. As @SLRBRONCOS has also mentioned, GA bays are capped at 70% capacity at Suncorp, so the total number of seats that can be filled for a Broncos game (even if all the members turn up) is not 52,500, but more around 48,000.

If you want to find other events which were announced as sell outs which only filled a comparable amount of the ground (again because there was GA seats and members didn't fully turn up) you only have to look at Gather Round in Adelaide on Saturday and Sunday. The sold out crowds announced for those days were 45,970 (85.9%) on Saturday and 43,198 (80.7%) on Sunday.
