Noah Martin set himself and didn’t move. He wasn’t responsible for the contact. Shouldn’t have even been a penalty, yet he’s looking at a grade 2?

The MRC are absolutely cooked already.

Any reason the trial match v Broncos this weekend doesn't count as a week for Sipley?

Or are trials not counted anymore?

This is close enough to being the right thread for it.

Can someone explain to me why Sebastian Kris and Jared Warea-Hargreaves are not able to count the All Stars match in their suspensions - despite both being 100% certainties to be picked and, in Kris's case at least, a supporting letter from the Indigenous coach stating that he would have been picked?

Meanwhile, two Souths players were able to have it count against their suspensions despite iffy at best reason for doing so?

Couldn't use it
* Sebastian Kris - certainty to be picked with supporting letter from coach of Indigenous team
* Jared Warea-Hargreaves - certainty to be picked

Could use it
* Jack Wighton - retired from rep football and has not 'un-retired'
* Jacob Gagai - who? no certainty to be picked

It seems the only criteria for being able to count the All Stars game in your suspension is the club you play for. And that stinks.

No one seems to know. Its been pointed out by a number of print journalists over the couple of weeks a number of time how inconsistent it is.

In fact for one of the Souths players, the NSWRL judiciary turned it down being included, but when the NRL Judiciary was approached it was then included against that player's suspension.

It's what the fans want to see. Allegedly..

Is the Simple one eligible for Vegas now? That was my first thought, but that wouldn't explain JWH.

Nah Jack’s still missing Vegas, but it means he gets to return against the Roosters instead of the week after.
