Tough to pick

Warriors have been ok lately but dogs look a genuine title threat.

Close one either way

If the Wahs are going to aim up for any game youd think it would be here. They do seem to shit the bed more then anyone when it matters. Going Dogs by 4 on trust.

Warriors play their best footy with Egan and Metcalf, and at home.
Now they have SJ's last game - one of our best and most exciting NZ players to watch since Benji. So, i'm a little torn.... i'd like to see Warriors win but also Dogs continue to show consistency which is the one thing we've been missing for years.

I think it'll be close, i've bet on either team 1-12, or 1-10.

Hope SJ gets the send off he deserves regardless of the result. When he's on , nobody can match him. He'll be missed. Born to play the game.

The Bulldogs’ defensive wall is off the scale. Sexton was sent to reserves to improve his tackle efficiency from 80 per cent. It’s now 90 per cent . The Bulldogs ability to grind is only surpassed by Penrith . The Warriors’ only chance is to play hot potato and/or Johnson to repeatedly dig into the line rather than just shovel it sideways . At least Metcalfe offers a point of difference.

Teams look at the relatively small size of the Bulldogs forwards and try to go straight through the front door but it rarely works. There’s no obvious weakness in the Bulldogs defence . They miss a lot of tackles but they are largely inconsequential ones. They also concede a lot of metres per set between the 20 metre lines but are rock sold and attack with their defence in their own red zone . Add-Carr sometimes races up with Xerri on the Bulldogs left flank and might be vulnerable to a kick in behind them. The Warriors’ wingers just have too many mistakes in them.

On a slightly different note as a neutral I’m amazed and disappointed how the Warriors have been consistently shafted by the referees over the past decade or more . This year alone I can recall 2 legitimate Warriors’ tries from cross kicks both involving DWZ which were denied by the officials. The referee didn’t even bother to get the bunker to check one of them. New Zealand is potentially a great breeding ground for Rugby League (I wonder how many Keano Kinis are running around playing touch football in New Zealand). Remember the power surge and subsequent blackout in NZ when Stacey Jones scored in the GF against the Roosters? A 2nd NZ team should be a lock and you’d think the NRL would at least give the Warriors a fair go from a refereeing standpoint. A successful Warriors should be a NRL priority .

It's been more than 2. Ironically, the last bulldogs game we were shafted when we weren't awarded a penalty.

We are pretty used to it though.

Good test for the Dogs over the closing rounds.. Can easily undo all their good work with 2 or 3 losses to finish the H&A games.

Dogs win here and it really heats up the race for a top 4 place, lose and they join the rat race for 5-8th.

C'mon Warriors. Lift for SJ and the sellout crowd. I reckon the Wahs can grab a tight win at home here.
