Just saw reply. Even two bottles of wine in, with a nap and pseudo codral, and a pathological loathing of Easts , never a sin bin.
It's not a voluntary tackle, he dived on a loose ballVoluntary tackle. What a load of shit.
The ref literally said he surrenderedThe ref called play on, he was never touched by a Canberra player.
That was after the fact. Rewind it, he called play on and that's why smith got up. He was quite happy to be told to play the ball. The ref literally said he surrendered
I feel like he could've got up a lot earlier, and voluntary tackles don't exist anymore even though they're still in the rule book. It's not a voluntary tackle, he dived on a loose ball
So the ref just changed his mind? I think you're hearing things mate. Ref saw a prone cheese with Whitehead over him and called held. That was after the fact. Rewind it, he called play on and that's why smith got up. He was quite happy to be told to play the ball.
He was waiting for a raiders player to touch him which didn't happen and then he was told to play onI feel like he could've got up a lot earlier, and voluntary tackles don't exist anymore even though they're still in the rule book.
No he didn't, rewind it.So the ref just changed his mind? I think you're hearing things mate. Ref saw a prone cheese with Whitehead over him and called held.
No such thing as a traditional hip drop. It's made up nonsense reallyOkay, that replay isn’t great. Smith was entitled to continue and Whitehead came down on the back of the leg. Not a traditional hip drop but there’s some merit there for a careless tackle.
No way mitigation could be factored in because of the slow unfolding of that play. Still rough imo
I have this innovative idea. It's pretty radical though.Potentially serious knee injury, let's make the bloke walk off and then hobble halfway around the ground.
Sometimes the game is seriously amateur.
He shouldn't be allowed to wait IMHO.He was waiting for a raiders player to touch him which didn't happen and then he was told to play on
No, you're right I just cranked the volume and triple checked. When whitehead is over him ref yells "surrender!". Guess what that means? No he didn't, rewind it.
