It only looked like it went backwards because he was running toward the ball. If it was called a knock on, id go as far to say that most Manly fans wouldn’t complain about it.

That knock on has destroyed everyone's weekend.

All of us should be very upset.
I’m only upset that there’s no pub open at 730am so I can watch footy and start preemptively drowning my sorrows after Manly lose at home and so do Everton.

Again, only if the ball goes forwards. The bunker had a look and ruled it went backwards in this case… I’m not sure they’re correct but it’s on the scoreboard now…
I don’t think it went back. It touched his hand and then the player moved forward so it appeared to go back.

But as you say, it is on the scoreboard now. Manly lucky to get that try but the rest of the half (poor discipline both with and without the ball) is on us and if we don’t improve and Manly continue to play well they will be deserved winners.

Manly will win this one.

Daly Dickhead Evans will get to do his walk around the stadium at full time.

What about the touchie.
The touchie called knock back I reckon. Ref had his whistle to his mouth and then took it out.
Because he steps forward as he fumbles it, it looked like it could have went back. That’s where the bunker should have corrected it.

I expected that to be called back but do you really think the rule is about which direction you're facing?
Always has been. Facing your opponents goal line during a knock on was the cover rule, no matter if it went back. Its harder for someone to knock a ball backwards for someone receiving a pass, than a fullback who is catching the ball and turns his body. Any way, spilt milk, and Manly are playing better football.
