Okay, here we go. We head into the final Round of 2024, our final game. Annnndd boy, is it a big one!! This week, the rivalry is re-ignited, the hate is embraced yet again, and we take on our arch-rivals at home.

No negative shit from me this week. It's been an awful Season, so bad, and I can't wait for it to end, but it's going to be a long Off-Season and this is the last time we'll see our boys in action until February so I'm going to just enjoy it for what it is. And what it is, is a big old derby game.

No matter the circumstances, no matter what has gone before us this year, we are playing the scum, and this game matters. This is the game you get up for. If there was going to be any game to get up for this year, it has to be this one!

It goes without saying, but f**k the Roosters. I hate them with a passion that is hard to describe, and I'm sure I speak for all Souths fans when I say that. It's an intense, burning hatred for these pricks from Bondi that is so intense. It will never, ever die. In fact, I don't even know if hate is a strong enough word to describe how we feel about them. They are scum. Absolute scum.

That's right, this week, another chapter gets written into the Book of Feuds. The rivalry resumes and the hate comes to the surface. The two oldest clubs in the League, there's 116 years of pure hatred in this one. Pure envy, pure spite, pure feelings. I don't even know how to describe it. How do you describe it? It's impossible.

It's going to be incredibly tough game, and the Roosters deserve to be big favourites. We're extremely depleted, looking awful, and they're a top four side unfortunately. Therefore, our boys are massively up against it. A win is unlikely, but you know what, I'm gonna say we can do it. F**k it, I'm sick of being negative and want to finish this Season on a high. No better way to do it then beating these wankers on Friday night. Working in our favor is the injuries they copped today. On top of no JWH and Suali'i, they will also be missing key players in Walker, Smith and Radley. That's big and gives them a weakened side too. Nowhere near as depleted as us, but they still look vulnerable.

Souths should be extremely motivated and a little emotional this week too as it's two club legends' last games. Tom and Cooky finish their time with us this week. That's incredibly sad as they're two of the modern-day greats, Tom in particular is one of the all-time greats to pull on a Souths jumper. Would love to send them out with a win for the ages. Go do it boys!!!

We can do this!!!! I'm feeling it. Pluck these Chooks lads!! Yoohoooo!

F**k the Roosters!

Hey callmack great passion young man hey next week im hoping our whole forward pack can legally gang tackle keary into Disneyland and beyond and thus ending his season in 2024.then I want that ringlet headed winger dom young who left Newcastle to cop an acl that will be wonderful.then id like to see a few more rorters players catching a few stretchers up the tunnel during the match, and then some how they all get accidently dropped on their heads by the paramedics who slip on a dozen banana peels id like to see that as they make their way up to saint Vincent's hospital for a nice long stint together other than that callmack I wish them no luck at all. Souths 2 win SSTID. p.s. does anyone eat bananas? ..

Taane Milne has had a big turnaround in form over the last 4-6 weeks, even reinventing himself as an offloader premier.
I would not be mad at him if he gets binned or sent off in this game

Tripleb do you remember that cartoon character back in the 60's i think his name was stretchman i wish taane milne could be stretchman next game and stretch his arm right across the park and coat hanger all of those scumbag rorters players and knock em all out cold in one big hit what a dream hit that would be tripleb..

Yep it would be good to see.
The thing is, with Taane, there is a good chance that it might actually happen.

Wow, looks like that will be quite the celebration out there on Friday night! That adds to the occasion. What a night for Ronnie Coote!

Good shots from training today! Cody had some nice touches, but it looks like he's not training fully. No sign of Wighton.

Who gives a flying f**k if they rest players or not. Ain't gonna make a difference to how I'm approaching this deby week, and I hope the players are the same.

It's funny how the excuses about their injury toll have already started though when ours is three times as bad.

Wighton confirmed as out for this week.
I’d rather see Tuepa come in over Hawkins but I doubt it will happen

It'll be Hawkins in the 7 and Cody back to 6. Latrell will hopefully be declared fit and available and serve his suspension this week.

Question is, will the Rorts be reluctant to get down and dirty with us in what is still a heated derby but also a nothing game for them when they have much bigger fish to fry the following week against Penrith (or Melbourne?) in a big QF? If they lose anyone to injury or on report in the first half, they may stain their undies and be vulnerable for the upset.

Hope so.

Brief summary to thank Damien and Tom

Two favourites of mine that’s for sure. They have brought so much to Souths. Tom being a 2014 premiership winner it’s so special as has been his massive metres at prop and some famous tries over the years. He will be greatly missed. Last Burgess end of an era. Tom had given it all he has.

Damien has also bought us so many get out of your seat moments he’s performed at a high level for so long been a great clubman it’ll be hard to replace him

Dad and I will be there on Friday ready to give them a standing ovation as they run onto Accor one last time! Glory Glory cmon boys lift and give it all you have this Friday have a dig

Knock their rorters scumbag filthy heads off i say nothing less and throw in a few coathangers only to be done by our extended bench players only id like to see that wreck em for the finals.

Gutted we're gonna be without Jackie this week. We really need him, especially for the kicking game.

Tom and Cookie's last ever weekly media. That's really sad and to be honest, I got a little emotional hearing them talk about what this club means to them, how they're feeling about the last week and the last game, and hearing some of the memories. It's a very emotional one.

Onya Tallis!!! There's an interview to get you hyped up for the derby clash!! What an honor for him to wear the Ron Coote number eight jersey with the gold number, and that's a pretty cool thing from the club to celebrate him becoming an immortal. Love that tallis is going to play lock, and I love it's him because he's a similar player to Coote and has spent time at both clubs. Awesome stuff!
