I love Aus v Eng/GB RL series, but f**k I hate it that we call it the Ashes. Surely we can have a uniquely RL name for the series / trophy.

In interview with Nigel Wood this week he was asked about Wembley sales. He didn't have the figure but said they were very happy with how tickets are selling and they have set themselves a goal to beat the record 73k for a test match! They have a big marketing strategy planned leading up to it over the 100 days remaining.

Wouldn't hurt of Australia came to the party and started to get people excited for it and maybe throw in some controversy for the English media to feed off!

Whilst not unique its been around since 1908 so I think we can comfortable using it!

Always makes me cringe. Has an air of begging the London media for attention. Rooted in the same toxic blend of bravado and inferiority complex that drove our pro club owners to keep signing Union players.

In the ashes tour
Match time was up
Went 50 seconds into injury time
England leading 1 nil. Series
Leading the 2nd test by a couple of points
Kangaroo's had the ball in their own quarter
Ricky Stuart had this grimace looking face
Carrying the Ball. He wasn't going to be intercepted again. Like what happened earlier in the match. He threw a massive Dummy
The whole field. Defence was wide open
Ricky Stuart went for it
The Ashes was on the line

Would love for the RFL to use the B&I Lions drubbing in their marketing.
"We've beaten them in the Rugby Union, now time for the real test. Beating Australia in their main form of Rugby".
Get the ARL involved and we've got a sold out Wembley and record viewership in the UK (hopefully for all 3 games if England can snag a win at Wembley).
