With Vegas, Magic, All Stars & WSOO now all on sale, thought it was time to start everyone's favourite thread.

MAGIC ROUND + WSOO
Source: Daily Telegraph
Magic Round ticket sales have exploded following the release of three and four-day passes in recent days.

So much so that the release of single-day passes have been brought forward to cope with the demand.

Total sales for Magic Round three and four-day passes has edged close to 20,000 just a few days into the on sale, which is a 40 per cent jump on the same time last year.

With the new four-day passes being released for the first time, there has been a 280 per cent jump in sales for women’s State of Origin One on the Thursday night prior to Magic Round on May 1.

Interestingly, aside from the obvious support from Broncos and Dolphins fans, the biggest take-up so far of the club member allocation has come from Melbourne Storm and Warriors members.

VEGAS 2025
Source: Code Sports

This year's double header at Allegiant Stadium attracted a crowd of more than 40,000 and the NRL wants to exceed that the second time round. Hence the plan to tap into the crowd at the Formula One Grand Prix by advertising at some famed location in Sin City.

The Las Vegas frenzy has already begun, with close to 30,000 tickets already sold for the event.

Looks like the NRL have figured how to market WOrigin. I was online trying to get Diamond tickets on Day 1. 4dp was $299, 3dp was $409.

It looks like they've tweaked those prices. Diamond is now unavailable for 4 days Gold for an Adult is $329, whilst for 3 days, Gold is $289.

Not the worse strategy making the 4 day tickets almost the same as 3 day tickets (or even discounting them). The Queensland Government would happily make up the difference to the NRL for getting an extra day of accomodation and other spending out of the traveling league fans.

One Day passes for Magic Weekend have gone on sale to club members today and will be released to the General Public tomorrow. Will get a better picture tomorrow, but doesn't look like Magic Round is going to have any trouble selling out again this year.

Lower bowl for Perth Origin is down to around 50 tickets, with reasonable sales on the higher levels. Possibly sitting around the 20K sold already.

No reason why not. Warriors sold out every game, if they have a successful season they could go 2 seasons, Broncos tipped to have a good season and winners draw crowds.Dolphins are growing their fan base. Panthers may struggle with a move to Parra but Tigers & Dogs draw good crowds when winning

I'd be very surprised if we break the attendance record again. Penrith having no home ground means their average will drop massively. The Broncos and Warriors are both coming off ordinary seasons could also see a similar dip. Hopefully they can continue off last years massive numbers and continue to build an attendance culture regardless of form.

There could be massive increases in Sydney though if the Dogs, Dragons and Tigers can see more success. Dogs and Dragons especially should be in the top 8. Manly seem to have created a good attendance culture at Brookvale too so hopefully that continues.

We need good luck with the weather too. Wev've had a pretty dry past 2 years so hopefully we get close to the record again.

Trump, Brady and AI: PVL reveals NRL’s US dream

“It will definitely be bigger than last year,” he said.

“We are expecting 50-60,000 fans and have already sold over 35,000 tickets."

“We will be doing a lot more marketing and it’s the first time it’s going on free-to-air television in America which will be a minimum of 500,000 viewers."

“We have nearly 20,000 Australians travelling over there. We have a New Zealand team and Super League teams (Wigan and Warrington) that will attract people from England.
“The women’s game (Jillaroos v England) will be unique because Americans have never seen how good our players are. That is going to rock their socks to see how good the women are.
“It’s not an easy path to attract Americans but we will get there.”

Penrith‘s attendances won’t drop massively. They averaged 20k at Penrith last year and with games at Comm Bank v Eels, Dogs, South and Wests, there is a chance they will actually go up.

We'll see. I think you overestimate how many Penrith fans will travel to Parramatta. They might end up with an average of 15K. No chance it goes up.

Gonna venture into this and make an educated guess at crowds for their 8 Parra games

R2 - Roosters
Friday night 8pm
First home game, predict 20k

R5 - Cowboys
Friday 6pm
Not ideal, predict 14k

R8 - Manly
Sat night 7:35
ANZAC Round, predict 18-19k

R13 - Parramatta
Sunday arvo 4pm
Post-Origin, local rivals, should draw a crowd
Predict 24-25k

R17 - Canterbury
Thu night
If Dogs are going well, should be a solid turnout. Being Thurs will hurt chances of bigger
Predict 21-22k

R20 - Souths
Fri night
Comes down to form by this point. Predict 15-19k

R21 - Wests Tigers
Sat 5:30
Will come down to Tigers form IMO. Predict 16-19k

R24 - Melbourne
Thu night
Thursday and little to no away support. Will be worse if not in form/vying for top spots. Predict 14-17k

Subsequently I can't see them topping 20k average. Hope I'm wrong though.

Their other home games which I wouldn't be including in the average - Sharks @ Vegas (R1 sun arvo AEDT), Broncos @ Suncorp (R9 Magic), Newy @ Bathurst (R12) and Canberra @ Mudgee (R25).

I think we’ll see some big crowds in Sydney thanks to a resurgent Canterbury bulldogs.

broncos crowds will be huge again as will all Queensland derby games.

I’d hope and expect we continue to increase the crowd average if these assumptions hold true:
- Warriors continue to sell out every game
- Broncos maintain a 40k average with improved form
- Dogs, Dragons, Tigers make significant increases on their averages with improved form
- Penrith doesn’t drop significantly
- Storm continue to build their crowds
- The rest of the clubs maintain their 2024 averages more or less

Hopefully we can potentially see the opening round record of 200,312 be broken this season.
Last season had the 4th best of all time with 183,554.

ROUND 1
Sunday, March 2nd
Raiders vs. Warriors at Allegiant Stadium 11:00am

Panthers vs. Sharks at Allegiant Stadium 3:30pm

Vegas games last year drew 40,746 for the double header, a number that was impacted by the freak weather Vegas experienced.
We've already sold 35,000+, so we should eclipse it, and push towards 50k as that's what PVL is expecting.

Estimate - 52k

Thursday, March 6

Roosters vs Broncos at Allianz Stadium 8:00pm

If I am not mistaken, this will be the Broncos very first time at the new SFS, having last played there in 2018.

Thursday night, first game of the season, somewhat decent rivals in recent history should see this get above at LEAST 25k.
Estimate - 25k

Friday, March 7

Tigers vs. Knights at Campbelltown Stadium 6:00pm

Last played against the Knights here back in 2022 on a Sunday and drew 9,621.
While there is hype around the Tigers heading into 2025, the 6pm time slot is usually never really kind to any team. I expect it to be between 12k-17k.
Estimate -14.5k

Dolphins vs. Rabbitohs at Suncorp Stadium 8:00pm
First time match up for these two at Suncorp and has the story behind it with Bennett leaving to coach the Bunnies again. 35k would be the pass mark for me, especially with the bunnies strong following.
Estimate - 37k

Saturday, March 8

Dragons vs. Bulldogs at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium 5:30pm

I do see this one selling out. Bulldogs coming off of a good 2024 campaign, Dragons with their new signings, plus a good rivalry between both.
Estimate - 18k

Sea Eagles vs. Cowboys at 4 Pines Stadium 7:35pm
Last game between these two was in 2023 with a crowd of 13,240. I see Manly adding a few extra thousand onto this.
Estimate - 16.5k

Sunday, March 9

Storm vs. Eels at AAMI Park 4:05pm
No AFL in town, Sunday arvo footy. What more could you ask for?
Last match up between these two @ AAMI was in 2022 (Ray Stone sacrificed his ACL for the win) in front of 15,691. I believe it'll crack 20k, especially as its one of the Melbourne games that offer GA.
Estimate - 22k

Round 1 Estimate - 185k

For us to break the round 1 record, you'd need the Vegas game to fully sell out, and an additional 5-6k seats sold across the remaining games.

Where are all the expectations of Dargons improved form coming from?

Lost their two best, new signings okay but aging, worst halves pairing in the comp, lacking up front...they're more likely spooners than Top 8.

from recent history Penrth v Parra games at Penrith would sell out with visiting Eels fans though the same game at Parra would not
