23,172 is awesome. Can't help but think that they are counting total sold/reserved rather than attendance but awesome in any case

Apropos your comment about the Cronulla drip feed is it the club or ticketek? It’s really frigging annoying and I’ve raised the issue before here.So quick update on the next three games.
Cronulla continue to slowly drip additional tickets for tomorrow's match against the Roosters. Personally I don't understand their ticketing strategy and why they are holding back seats late again, but the match is not showing any likelihood of selling out. Realistically between 10K-11K.
Penrith have sold out bays 112-119 on the eastern lower, and are selling into the back three rows for 214 - 216 with decent sales in 212, 213, 217 & 218. Match appears to have sold more than their game against the Roosters (12,180) but less than the Manly (14,534) game.
Southern GA area has sold out at Canberra Stadium, whilst all reserved bays in the lower bowl are down to single seats. In the upper stands Bay 4 - 16 in the Meninga Stand and 24 - 30 in the other stand are also down to single seats, with some form of sales in every other bay. Significantly ahead of the recent Raiders v Dragons game (15,932), so hopefully we're looking at 17K+
It would be the club. There is zero value in Ticketek holding the seats back at a venue like Shark Park as their costs are almost identical every time the venue is opened, and the way they make their money is through transaction fees/clip of tickets.Apropos your comment about the Cronulla drip feed is it the club or ticketek? The banners do shit all these days, if we're honest. Those banners are also directing folk to a Ticketek site with only the most expensive seats available 90% of the time, which just undos any of the good.
The marketing world is digital and we need access in our hands - the Broncos are the best at this, and hammer Adsense with their ticketing, membership, and marketing materials/links. I genuinely believe that we have some of the best marketing heads in Australian sport, and the Phins have some of the worst - they are a new club, so this isn't meant to be as brutal as it sounds, they will get there eventually.
In any case, their ticketing division sits within the marketing division and they are diabolical, which says it all really.
Your comparing a 38yr old club, with a club that is 3 years old. It's going to take time for the Dolphins to get that rusted on support the broncos have. The type of footy they play is goign to go a long way towards that.
But at this point just being visable, even with the issue with it really being seen as a Redcliffe club which I suspect hurts them more than helps them. I still think they should go with Moreton Bay Dolphins, nice point of difference, while still serving the same area.

Just sell the bloody tickets I reckon. It’s a pain in the assIt would be the club. There is a range of reasons why the club maybe holding the seats back. It could be to try and sell memberships, used in promotions, they could be corporate allocations being returned or even seats that were identified as being damaged, and only being put back on sale once fixed. They could also be holding back to drive up revenue, with some clubs charging more for sales on the day.
I’m finding more and more difficult to justify spending $1000 on flights and hotels to attend a game there. Last year was an unpleasant experience. We’ve got to do something.reckon its the ticket resale thing with the sharks?
either way, a shithouse venue
cant even have a succulent chinese meal there before, during or after after, as it has closed for ah..reasonsI’m finding more and more difficult to justify spending $1000 on flights and hotels to attend a game there. Last year was an unpleasant experience. We’ve got to do something.
Yeah I heard. Things just get bettercant even have a succulent chinese meal there before, during or after after, as it has closed for ah..reasons
Dolphins are based in Redcliffe, of course, but are clearly pushing for fans all over the city.I know, I said that here:
Also, my main argument and comparison is that The Dolphins are not using the best digital strategies to be more visible - they can and should be doing more, and I've provided examples of that.
Agree that their main hurdle is their homelessness. But I think not going with Redcliffe hurts them more than calling them 'The'. I also think that Moreton Bay would absolutely work more than 'the'.
GA & some ET seats are now back on sale... hopefully they go quickly, but frustrating.Shark park appears to be as good as sold out with pretty much all allocations being exhausted (as am I). Concourse has limited availability and that’s it
Whatever their system is, it’s infuriatingGA & some ET seats are now back on sale... hopefully they go quickly, but frustrating.
I can’t see this improving till the leagues club reopensYeh I went to buy tickets today at Shark Park. There was like 8 tickets total available plus GA. Turn on the TV and there is about 8000 available. Members not showing up for a 6pm Friday?
