The Gong for 2026 perhaps?
I imagine it will come down to how well it is supported. If Newcastle goes close to filling both days, I wouldn't be surprised if they get to keep it for the 3 years, if however crowds for both days are more around the 20K mark, then Wollongong & Central Coast comes into the mix, and if it's not great at all, then it's more Mudgee, Wagga Wagga & Bathurst.

I'm sure the day the Knights play will sell out or go close.

It's the other day that is the concern, I don't think we are quite there yet with the women's game where fans are going to travel to see their club play.

Mr V’landys confirmed the 2026 and 2027 NRLW Magic Rounds would be played in different regional locations.

Surely they theme the Sunday (May the 4th) Star Wars....

The Storm(troopers) are even playing

Broncos and Dolphins not having to use one of their home games is still B.S.

We have too many ticketed members to ever be the home team. It is never an issue when Sydney teams who play out of Homebush also play away games there

Not really, part of getting Fox to pay for the Dolphins was getting Broncos off FTA prime time to help drive Fox/Kayo subs in Qlnd.
wouldn't most league fans in queensland already have fox or kayo? thought broncos rate high and thats why they get fta games and dolphins were to drive up the actual viewership numbers to ensure there's potentially a queensland club playing each day footy is on (if they want to schedule it like that anyways0.

4 days of footy = 4 queensland clubs to spread around. obviously local derbies would chew up the days allocated. thats how it looks like it was intended to be set up anyways.

No, the stats show there is substantially smaller subscriber % in Qlnd than NSW. Put down to Broncos having every game on FTA so no need to buy fox. Although denied at the time as being part of the deal, since the Dolphins admission Broncos prime time tv FTa slots have dropped by over 20%.

This is made up rubbish.

The NRL took back the fixturing as of the start of the previous deal so the networks weren't in control of it and therefore things like Brisbane getting every Friday and Tigers getting every Sunday were no longer a certainty.

What's your evidence for the claim Fox paid for the Dolphins so Brisbane would be on Fox/Kayo more?

Channel 9 Brisbane's 6pm news broadcast revealed a handful of games for the Broncos' fixture for 2025.

After their Roosters clash at Allianz in Round 1, Brisbane will remain on the road to face Canberra at GIO Stadium in Round 2, before returning home for back-to-back derbies - Round 3 v Cowboys then Round 4 v Dolphins. The return clash with the Phins is set for Round 24, while the two SEQ derbies with the Titans are in the Origin period - Rounds 14 and 19.
