Manlys forward pack/bench is as shit as their backline is great. Heard good things about the Cows 7 so interested to see him. Defence will be an after thought here, whats the overs, surely 50+?

Think Manly but nothing would surprise me.

This Year?

Arm me with harmony
Jakey, drop a load on 'em
D.C.E, how can I explain it?
I'll take you frame by frame it
To have y'all all jumpin', shoutin', sayin' it
D is for Daley, C is for Cherry, scratch your temple
The last E well, that's not that simple, uh
It's sorta like well, another way to call a toff a Bevan.
It's five little letters that are missin' here
You get it on occasion if the other half isn't playin
It seems I gotta start the explainin'
Bust it
You ever had a coach that fell asleep at Maccas yo
And laugh at how he sounds like kermit when he says hello
You jog out, run a play, Turbo is what it's all about
Then you get a call and it's Kevvie's or is it Billy's house
It's not a front, F to the R to the O to the N to the T
It's just that Hunt is at his house
(Oh, that's why he's scary)
It's D.C.E time, other people's, but you get it
There's no room for QLD spirit, there's just room for gossip
How many halves out there know just what I'm gettin' at?
Who thinks it's wrong that he's too old to be QLD's halfback
Well if you do, that's D.C.E and you're not down with it
But if you don't, here's your membership
You down with D.C.E.?
(Yeah you know me)
You down with D.C.E.?
(Yeah you know me)
You down with D.C.E.?
(Yeah you know me)
Who's down with D.C.E.?
(Even Anthony)
You down with D.C.E.?
(Yeah you know me)
You down with D.C.E.?
(Yeah you know me)
You down with D.C.E.?
(Yeah you know me)
Who's down with D.C.E.?
(Come on, come on, come on, let me show you what it's all about)

Lol you somehow turned a song about something controversially enjoyable, to something (or someone) the vast majority of people f**king hate. Well done.

Seibs must have been watching the Hi Sense TV “go bigger” ads. While the Bulldogs showed everyone last year the way to go was with smaller more mobile forwards with big engines, Seibold has done the exact opposite. Interesting. They will be tested by the smaller, more mobile Cowboys’ pack.

We’ve got a star of the future in Jason Purdue against one of the worst defensive centres in the NRL (but one of the best wingers )in Garrick .Another Seibs selection special. He must have been watching the excellent performance of ex Manly halfback Jamie Humphries for Souths last night. Looked like an accomplished NRL halfback with a long kicking game. Not good enough for Seibs last year (ironically against Souths) where all Manly had in attack was an aimless bomb from Brooks.

With Croker recovering from knee surgery , Jazz Tevago starts. Not the greatest defender . A strange signing. Losing Api all those years ago was a sliding door moment for Manly and a position that has proven an Achilles heel. A certain beach sprinter may have filled the breach .

The Cowboys have a good recent record at Brookvale. Karl Lawton against his former club. Will Manly’s big men be able to keep their footing? How many tackles will Jason Saab miss? Will DCE be extra cranky in the tradition of players coming to the end of their careers? Will Tom T be able to outsprint the touchjudge?

The Cowboys have lost their talisman Chad Townsend(ok that was tongue-in-cheek). They seem to depend a lot on Drinkwater in attack. If he has a stinker the Cowboys will struggle , but if he lights it up who knows.

Three years ago the Cowboys had great defence but it’s all been downhill since then. Unless that’s improved , in the words of the master of double negatives , Craig Bellamy, “they ain’t going nowhere”.

Not sure about this one at all. Manly by 28 or the Cowboys by 2.

OK, Sea Eagles. We begin another season. Can you get closer to a grand final this year? Or will you crash and burn?

Someone in the crowd yelled "Go the Bulldogs." Seems like he had a few roadies on the trip to the ground.
