It’s round one

Way too early to be saying teams will finish bottom
91-6 St George over the Dogs back in the electric season of 1935.

87-7 Dragons over the Dogs one week later.

Eels?
Melb thumped the dragons at rhe mcg in 2000? After choc said everyone knew who the real grand finalists should’ve been

40 points would have to be one of the largest half-time leads in (first-grade) premiership history.

The only other leads I can remember that was larger was in Rd 22 2003, where Newcastle led Nth QLD 48-0 at half-time (also, Rd 5 2005, Brisbane led Parramatta 42-0 at half-time).
Yeah, you can understand a 46-0 flogging in the second half of a game with fatigue but the first 40 minutes of the season? Ridiculous

Yeah a point a minute is as bad as it gets. The Raiders lead the Knights 40-0 at half time in about 2013.

So the real question here is do we have four good teams (Penrith, Storm, Broncos, Sharks) and a bunch of mediocre and garbage? Could Parra and Roosters still make the 8? I say yes.
