The Sharks bogey ground.

Should see plenty of attacking football from both teams.

Sharks to win by a Jayden Sua 12 point turn around. lol.

Didn't we just have the weirdly named Steve Rogers Memorial game like 4 weeks ago? At least this one is being played at the home ground of one of the teams.

4 Pines, Turbo and a Muttitalo dive or brain implosion see the Eagles win this 30-24. Sharks fans to drown their sorrows at Sharks leagues club.

It’s no coincidence that Manly’s return to the winner’s list last outing against the Panthers coincided with the return of their talisman Corey Waddell. Manly fans can rest easy knowing that he has been signed up for 3 years. Oh, and Turbo returned from injury last match as well.

Interesting to hear from coach Seibold after the Panthers outing . He mentioned that that slick move leading to the Koula try against the porous Panthers’left side was conceived by Mick Ennis. I didn’t realise that he was still involved with Manly. It also begs the question where was this move when Manly desperately needed to score against the Sharks and Saints?

Making Haumole part of the Sea Eagles’ leadership group seems to have worked a treat . It has got rid of the niggle in his game, like the time against Newcastle a couple of years ago when he gave away a penalty in possession when Manly were home, ultimately costing a premiership point as the match ended in a draw.

It’s frustrating watching the Sharks in attack. Or more specifically watching Nico Hynes running sideways and shovelling the ball off without engaging the defensive line. It’s all too mechanical. Like watching someone paint by numbers. A halfback he is not. To use the current Rugby League buzzwords , he is too easy/west and not enough north/south. The Sharks would be a lot better served with Trindall at halfback and Atkinson at five eight.

Manly are like (as Rex would say) the curator’s egg. Good in parts. Navale has good leg speed and should come onto the bench in place of Waddell. Saab is in some doubt. Iro and Mulitalo will test Manly’s right side. Kennedy is in career best form . Pencil in Iro and Mulitalo for tries. Manly by 8.

Battle of the coaches. Battle of the damaged vocal cords. Loser forced to listen to Spud Carroll reciting Homer’s Iliad . Winner gets a gig on the Fox League show of their choice.
