Jaeman Salmon reported to be out 10 weeks with fractured ankle.
10 week gutted dog person
(that's 70 weeks in weak gutted dog years)
His poor weak gutted ankle
Broken on or off the field? Put him down.

Geez another one to the injured/suspended list.

Missing this week - Salmon, Preston, Curran, Sitili, Sam Hughes, Todd.

Running out of forwards! But in reverse if we can somehow continue winning a lot of our players will be fresh come finals.

Doggies - massive injury list, but a bit like Berger Paints - keep on keeping on.

Match of the round for me. No love lost between these teams. In the corresponding match last year JWH was ripping and tearing and Sam Walker’s short kicking game shredded the dogs. Both players are missing this time in.

If the Bulldogs win the comp this year their supporters should build a statue for Ciraldo. He’s put together a money ball type team that barely misses a beat when key players are out. Something that Brian Smith used to dream of building. Amazing turnaround from his first season. Knows how to change tactics mid match and uses Bailey Hayward judiciously to swing the momentum. Penrith assistant coaches now 1st and 2nd with Ivan down the bottom. Funny game Rugby League. Don’t underestimate the input of assistant coach Jason Taylor either.

Three key match ups here. Kikau has a habit of bringing his best game v the Roosters . Radley no doubt will be given the role to stop him. On the other side of the field it’s Crichton v Crichton. The 3rd key match up is the aerial battle between Tupou and Kiraz. Expect plenty of cross field bombs from the Roosters for Tupou. Billy Smith is a good secondary target too.

Another target for the Roosters is the channel to the left of Steve Crichton .The Raiders explored that exact area last week with a neat run around involving Big Papa then a pass to Hudson Young to score. Strangely they didn’t go there again. Angus will be looking to exploit that.

Marky Mark is an absolute gun and no doubt will play Origin next year. Luckily the Roosters decided that defending at centre is a bridge too far at this stage of his career. The Roosters are notorious slow starters after the bye and will have to get their game on from the get go. They will have to play for the full 80 minutes to match the Dogs. They have strike all over the park and their ability belies their position on the table.

Predictions:

Roosters by 8.
Pencil in Toupu/Billy Smith/Tedesco/Marky Mark as tryscorers.

This game makes me nervous. Hopefully we do not see the same wet weather footy from Bulldogs that we saw against the first half against the Broncos.

I think the Roosters win this. They won't do what the Raiders did, plus they'll test the Bulldogs across the entire width of the field. With the Bulldogs outs it's a bridge too far IMO.

This could get ugly and not on the scoreboard.. Teddy and Radley v. dry track thugs playing in the wet.

Roosters 22-12.

With a sniff of a blues jersey Tedesco is going to go into hyper hog mode and suffocate any chance the Roosters have in this game.

Dogs have that winning habit on repeat. Can't tip against them but their 1st half last week was too much bong, not enough nose beers, which they obviously fixed up in the sheds at halftime.

I'm tipping they start with the nose beers before kick off this week.
