Everyone is a Raiders fan. Who doesn't love wacky idiots?

They're less likeable now Simple Jack and LeiPana are all gone and they no longer share one brain among 17 blokes, though.

Poor old Hors is almost the only idiot we have left. Maybe Starlo and Young...

refs always make mistakes to favour the favourites. Gets old.
Im a Tigers fan. We have not been robbed once this year due to ref calls....we have deserved what we got.
I agree with you that two tries would not gave been given if your opposition was the Storm at Melbourne. Those two calls have defied the ay the game has been reffed for the majority of the year. It still didn't cost you the match.

Seems to me with the line Martin ran, it became impossible for Cogger to get across. At that point it really has to be a penalty. Cogger’s actions are irrelevant cos he can’t get there anyway.
Looking at it objectively, I completely agree. Regardless of whether Cogger made the most of it or not, it was an obstruction. If that decision went against us I would have been furious, so that probably a fair indicator that it was wrong.

Uhh, that is not comparatively easy lol.

Comparatively easy to what?

It's about a 1km or walk along a sealed path from Dryandra street?

Similar to a walk from wests league club to McDonald Jones, and a shorter walk than from broadmeadow station. If youre too unfit to walk a km of flat, that's on you. Probably will rack up more metres going back and forth to the food/drinks during the game.

If youre disabled you can park at the front gate of Bruce stadium. Otherwise access to the ground and parking options are no worse than any other suburban ground in the NRL. Id argue they are better considering the crowd sizes. It's not like its a built up area where street parking is hard to come by.

Fair enough point of view. Even with an overlap the defence should be given the ability to apply pressure and reduce the options available to the attacking team without being obstructed.

I mean, not every overlap ends in a try. There's no guarantee the passes won't be put down or they'll over run it.
This is 100% right and exactly how it's been officiated all year and for the past decade at least...except this afternoon for reasons

worst thing to happen to the Knights was Fogarty throwing that intercept before half time. He kicked the Knights into submission in the 2nd half

The contradiction with Atkins too, Starlings was a try cause Crossland didnt make an effort, while Cogger did make an effort and didnt get rewarded for it. With/without the obstruction still would have been a try.

Anyway, didnt make a difference as Knights didnt fire a shot in the 2nd half and season is over. Wont lose any sleep over it.

Good professional win by the Raiders here
First half was scratchy but even then we kind of gifted them those points.
Once we went up a gear, the knights couldnt hang and we cruised to an easy win against a pretty inferior opposition.

Re: the obstruction calls
Starling - i think they got that right. Savage arm never touched the ground, he wasnt held and was entitled to offload. And if Crosslands just tries to make a tackle he gets that call, but you cant reward players for standing around watching. You cant be obstructed if you dont even try to make a tackle

The Timoko one was baffling, lead runner, outside shoulder. That's bread and butter stuff. I'd be furious if a try like that was awarded against us.

AOB is probably gone anyway and about to come into a big payout so I hope he drops a few grand to let fly in the presser.

We were never winning that game anyway but the f**kery mostly all happened when the game was in the balance. It obviously had a big impact on the momentum of the game. Our seasons been done for ages anyway and we have a heap out so I’m not losing sleep over it, but there’d be a much bigger reaction if that shit happened to one of the big teams and it cost them a finals spot or something.

Anyway I hope the Raiders go on with it this year as I hate the other alternatives, but they won’t get that lucky with officials against other clubs.

Leaving aside whether Canberra would have won anyway or whether the player made an effort or wouldn’t have got there anyway, it's the inconsistency of officiating that drives supporters crazy and appears to always shaft the lower ranked teams more than not. As a Dragon's supporter we got shafted with the Kiraz play the ball last week. There is no way in hell if that was the Dragon's challenging the on field decision of lost ball that the bunker would have reversed it.

Maybe I'm being paranoid but f**k Warren Smith and Andrew Voss are salty about us leading the comp this year. The sheer elation in smiths voice when the Knights scored and then just goes on autopilot when we started running away with it. Same thing happened in the Roosters game, Vossy couldn't contain his excitement every time the Roosters scored. Acted surprised whenever we scored.

And they should be held accountable for them.

I honestly don't get your argument here. It's reductive
It is a game reffed by HUMANS. Mistakes will be made and always have been made. Remember, you team conceded 44 points! When my shit team concedes that many points, Im not going to come out and bag the ref if a Tiger was robbed. My own team will get the spray for conceding that many.

Tigers fans give it to the officials all the time mate. Usually also with good reason.

We give it to the team every week, that goes without saying, but the Knights being shit doesn’t mean the officials shouldn’t cop a spray for f**kery. 12 of the Raiders points should never have happened and it happened when the game was even. Would have the Knights won if those calls didn’t change the momentum? Unlikely, but also it never should have happened. It had zero impact on our season but it’s making the game in general hard to watch. What’s even the point of having a bunker?
