I understand the hate for blokka,
BUT
He fills a hole for us at the moment (probably too well), we haven’t been able to fill up our roster.
He is contracted on good money - so why would he pass that up.
AND
From what I hear from some local trainers is that he is looked up to from the boys at the club and is a natural leader. We did rely on him a couple of years ago and maybe cooked him? Is this a lesson in introducing our upcoming players?
Hopefully he seems fitter from all accounts and can hopefully break a few tackles and a few offloads before he captain coaches the canaries.

there are some players like blocka and sloan i really hope to God wish they come good. They seem like really likeable blokes. Unfortunately just hasn't happened and we need to move foward. If they were on minimal coin I wouldnt care as much, every club has some plodders, but they are taking up a significant chunk of the cap.
I hope they both play so well they become bolters into the NSW team. But I also hope like hell, we win the 2026 GF.

With a top 30 spot and an annual salary of 600K, Lawrie is actually blocking the patheay of some young forwards coming through.

As much as I've pretty much given up on Sloan I'm open to the vague possibility he might be able to surprise us all and fix up the deficiencies in his game. I would love to see him come good. Not hopeful about it, but he still has time to finally get it all together.
Unfortunately for Blake the modern game is just way too quick and mobile for him to be competitive and the gap between him and the quality front rowers just gets bigger every season. He's the poster boy for how shockingly bad our recruitment decisions and overall roster management was during the 2019 - 2023 period. Maybe he can get a run in Perth if they need to fill up some roster spots.

Steve Roach hasn't played since the early 90s
