If Edgar isnt the backup the other options would be Milky or that Fonua bloke was playing FB in cup a little. Thats pretty grim, we also dont have much in game cover for Dyl with our first choice backline as neither winger has ever played FB. Personally I think we should giving Casey reps there and see if he can do it at a back up level.

Risky, if he put together a few good games there some club would offer 1.5mil a year

I’m never a fan of weakening a position to cover another.

Milky would get the job done - Trust Him

Milky is a moderately talented winger who played one game there. We've let ourselves down if hes the back up fullback. Im not saying he cant do a job but really we should at least have someone who has played some full back consistently, if we dont have that available then put our biggest outside back talent there not our least. Alamoti slides straight into centre and Milky onto the wing.

I don’t love Alomoti in the centres, his defence from there leaves a lot to be desired.

personally I’d prefer to leave the backline as stable as possible with no Dyl there and look at who is going well in Reggie’s.

We've got Blaize as well.

If we didn't have Jenkins or another player like him on the bench for some reason then it would be Blaize to 1 and Cogger to 6. But that scenario seems pretty unlikely. 6 man bench should ensure we don't get to that stage.

Well yeah i agree regarding reggies form. Im not convinced Edgar wont be straight in in Dyl goes down. If he is playing well in cup i think Ivan will pick him. If hes not in good form i think we are likely in trouble. All due respect to Milky or Casey or Alamoti, they arent fullbacks they will be a massive drop off in the organisational side of full back.

I’d be more worried if we lost Mitch Kenny to be honest.

I’d play Milky at FB if Dylan gets hurts, he’s rock solid.
We have freddy lussick from the warriors, fittest player at the club and has 1st grade experience at hooker.

Garner is leaving. Cole will probably need to leave. Smith seems to be negotiating. I like Smith a lot but if hes pushing for to much let him take it elsewhere.

Smith has no venom in his runs as a middle.

Ball playing forwards are good to have however any middle forward needs to be making 100m to 150m a game.

More if they want rep player money.

I'm not sure Smith has shown enough to get a rep level contract.

He always looks gassed after 10 minutes. I never got the hype with him but figured I was missing something.

I've seen claims on here that his ballplaying is a level above Yeo........guess I'm missing it too.

I'd like him to stay but only for the right price

26 years at 80 matches. So I'd say Lindsay is about to play some of his best football.

If you look at the last 3 years. Offloads, tackle breaks, tackles and run metres all at their highest level in 2025. His defence isn't being compromised by the workload either. Also quite fit. Has barely missed a game in the last three years.

All that trending upward in consecutive year. Don't see why he doesn't keep improving in 2026.

Thats a big claim. We never see it. I don't mind him staying in don't hate him he just seems like a pretty normal average prop to me.

My biggest issue with Smith is that he doesn't have the cannonball run into the defensive line when the team needs it.

He literally plods to the line, he has great footwork but his contact is currently pretty poor for a middle.

As you said he's under one hundred games and may prove me wrong.
