Today - 22nd October - marks the 20th anniversary of the 1st Test from the 1994 Kangaroo Tour – the last full tour of Great Britain by Australia.

Despite an early setback ( i.e. a send-off !) the British rallied for a great victory. Unfortunately the win could not be replicated and Australia retained the Ashes once again.

I know there is YouTube vision as well but has difficulty with the link this morning.

Won't get into the arguments for and against touring but if we ever did go down that track i'd like to see Australia play against as many national sides as it would club sides.

One of the biggest challenges for international rugby league is the length of the NRL and SL seasons. We need to reduce them by at least 4 rounds, and then touring is feasible - along with competing in say the 4 nations. Australian could play warm up matches in Ireland/Scotland/Wales/France before playing in the Northern Hemisphere 4 nations in 2016.

a week next saturday its nigh on 8 years since our last win over australia,23-12 in sydney

I was there in 2006 and everyone gave us no chance that day :D Keeping Willie Mason on the field was the best thing that could happen to GB at Sydney.

Jonathan Davies' try was one of the outstanding GB moments. Also, I don't know how we keep the Aussies out in the second half. Amazing performance with 12 men for an hour.
