10.00am Toss: Finally something's gone right for Ricky, Australia have won the toss and will bat. Surprise, surprise. Andrew Strauss counters that it wasn't a massively important toss as he believes the wicket will be batsman-friendly for five days anyway.
There've been some changes to Australia's line-up too: Australia: 1 Simon Katich, 2 Shane Watson, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Clarke, 5 Michael Hussey, 6 Marcus North, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Xavier Doherty, 9 Peter Siddle, 10 Ryan Harris, 11 Doug Bollinger.
England, on the other hand, have the luxury of naming an unchanged XI for this game. England: 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Alastair Cook, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Paul Collingwood, 6 Ian Bell, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 James Anderson, 11 Steven Finn.

Good start, big toss to win. Over to our batsmen.

On top of the inclusion of Bollinger AND Harris. Correct selections by the selection panel, I applaud them here. Marcus North is now playing for his Test career from where I sit (again)...Michael Clarke needs some runs and his form line here is as good as any. He loves batting in Adelaide (small understatement when looking at his record here).

We have six blokes here sitting on the back deck, beer on ice, bbq firing, 46" flat screen, new laptop and perfect weather. It doesn't get much better than this :D A three day weekend and the first day of what is a pivotal second Test.

Aussie fans please remember, WE are not the enemy here. Let's get behind our team. From afar, you could mistake us for English cricket fans reading some of the diatribe here since the 1st Test ;-)

Shane Watson will get a big score if he survives this first hour I feel...both openers could be in for some runs. The first hour as ever crucial. Both look primed.

Don't let it be said I can't jinx someone

There was a run there, I won't portion blame. Commentators making a case for Watson being at fault. Well done to Trott in any event.
