Just sh*t guys. Not even in the right frame of mind for a test series. It wasn't even a good ball.

It was full, but not overpitched, would've gone on to threaten off stump which forced Clarke to play, and then there was enough swing to catch the outside edge.

To any batsman that's a good ball, but to a new batsman that's a very good ball.

Exactly, superb bowling, for a bloke who averages 32 with the ball Anderson is bowling superbly so far this series.

Clarke showing yet again that he is completely incapable at scoring under pressure.

Honestly has he ever made runs when we weren't either a 200 ahead of 200 behind?

I think he has one or two innings where he needed to perform (Third Test 100 in 2009 Ashes to save a draw- scrappy and far from chanceless) but as I alluded too in an earlier post, he doesn't instill you with confidence when a fighting knock is needed. This is one reason as to why I have never been an advocate for Clarke as a possible Test captain. Doesn't have the necessary grit in his game or character in my opinion.

pretty good bowling from Anderson

this pitch will dry out to become a road,

this will be a big hole to get out of

your post just shows how little cricket you watch and how much you know. Clarke has had 4 bad tests in a row yes but has saved our Ar$es on many occasions. He got out to a good pill he didn't get himself out. your Clarke hate clouds your judgment therefore you have NFI.

what a disgusting start... i wonder if the selectors will be as quick to act on the out of form batsmen as they were the out of form bowlers

I wouldn't really class Katich, Ponting or Clarke as out of form though would you?? North on the other hand needs to make runs.

How? It was a regulation front foot defensive ball. A grade player could've defended that. Clarke just played an ordinary shot at the wrong time.

katich's own fault he got run out IMO, easy single in it but he was ball watching. Anderson bowled 2 superb pills to Punter and Clarke.

Definitely Kat's fault. It was far enough in front of square to be Watson's call. Only problem would be if the call wasn't very loud, but the run was there easy if he went.

The only thing which is keeping me laughing is that Merv was trying to say on radio the other night that Anderson was bowling on par with Johnson
