Jesus Christ, we are so f*cking shit.

But, but, but...Khawaja made an amazing 30-odd on debut and is ELEGANT!
Sad thing is he is the best of the rest. He looked so nervous today. Needs to have a chat to Steve Waugh.

listening to Strauss makes me want to vomit.

He tried to go over the fielders and get some assertion against Swann but it wasn't the shot to play. Dumb shot. Deserves a couple more games though surely? He will fire eventually.

We're condemning Khawaja after ONE bad innings? The kid deserves a fair go, just like Cowan got. He understandably looked nervous. That'll go away if he is guaranteed the rest of the series.

So much hate for Watson but it's very well deserved

Possibly the worst ever captain Australia ever had if even only for one test

f**k him off

Hughes really needs to address his consistency it played a role in his dropping last time round and it has not improved since then. Hughes batted so well in the first innings at Trent bridge but has managed just 1 run in the two innings since then, he needs to be putting consistent 50s together or face the fact be may just not be good enough at this level. When was Hughes last test century 2011?

Coming into this test Hughes had 4 50s and 5 scores above 40 overall in 8 tests.

Much better form than Cowan and Warner and Watson.

Since his 80 in the 1st innings he got out to an absolute perfect Swann ball that would have dropped many world class batsmen that early in an innings and he got out to a bullshit umpiring call here.

No chance we'd enforce the follow on. Probably won't come to that anyway as you still have your second best bat in Agar to come.

Point everyone is missing about Hughes is whether he hit it or not it was a woeful shot. Wild slash at a wide ball with his team at 2-50. Same old though. Way out of his depth at test level and will make way for Warner in the next test.
