We shall see.Looked like Paki gave up the last 2 days of the test.
But England do deserve some credit they lifted their game for this test. Root, and Woakes were outstanding.
Eng decision to spice up the pitch with pace and bounce worked wonders. Pak batsmen struggled to adapt to the conditions and Poms for 1 test appeared to negate the spin of Shah.
Woakes has me intrigued. Never though much of him as a test player but his form the past few tests has been great. He had a good series V SL. He has taken 18 wickets at an average of 11 and clubbed 116 runs at an average of 58 so far in this series. Can he keep it up? Probably not at those numbers.I am sure he will have tougher times on different surfaces against more stubborn or better opposition that don't throw in the towel when things get tough.
It will be interesting to watch him over the next 18 months.
