Warnie explains the rules

Of course the counter points are Beer, Berry, 2/20, S Waugh... the list goes on

Both times he clearly made an effort to move out of the way. Evasive action doesn't have to be a big, obvious duck or sway. Hardly an earth shattering call but you've gotta get the basics right
Sure but surely evasive action has to involve evasion and and action?

The contrast with everything else Smith does probably doesn’t help him

Imo Llong got it right, he’s been umpiring long enough that it was bound to happen

that really should have hit him on the pads, maybe he still would have been out but there is no excuse for having such a huge gap between bat and pad at this level, he is not an international quality opener

Um....it hit the stumps?

If he was out LBW you'd be here giving it to him as well. We get it, you've got an issue with the bloke.

Not a great shot, but it was a very good ball and his career so far suggest he most certainly is more of an international standard opener than anyone else we've used alongside Warner since Rogers retired.
