As long as we have our quota of left and right handers we'll be fine. Renshaw decided the team needed no handers as well so all areas covered.
Now that's out of my system, moving on.
We don't know if Head would have done better, but he's the designated hero because he's in form and was left out. He might have got two pairs for all we know. Still he's got to come back in the side after that disaster.
Only way to shift Warner or Lyon from the team is with dynamite or retirement.
Head a Green both to bowl.
My team would be something like this:
1. Khawaja
2. Labs - He practically opens anyway with Warner not lasting any time.
3. Smith
4. Head
5. Green
6. Handscombe - He went ok in the first innings it was a low bar though so yeah... Would have been better if he stayed not out. Would have strengthened his claim.
7. Carey
8. Cummins
9. Starc/Hazlewood if fit. One of those two depending on fitness.
10. Murphy
11. Swepson - Can't do any worse than Lyon. Give him a shot.
Probably needs tweaking a bit, but something along those lines. Plenty of batting and bowling options is what I'd be looking for. Head and Green give us that.
Team I expect
1. Warner - Anyone have any dynamite?
2. Khawaja - needs to score runs or we'll be sending an SOS to Marcus Harris of all people whilst Warner sticks around.
3. Marnus
4. Smith
5. Head (surely he's back in the side)
6. Green
7. Carey
8. Cummins
9 Starc or Hazlewood
10 Murphy - First bowler I'd pick after last game. Well done. Please keep that going
11 Lyon - He'll bowl us to victory any game now, I just know it. He's due.
