Vince is a weird bat. Plays beautiful shots and then for some unknown reason Knicks off or plays across a straight one. If it’s a ball where he can’t quite play a beautiful languid stroke he still tries to find a way to play it anyway.

Needs to learn to bat ugly to survive test cricket. Mentally weak batsman.

Vince is a poor mans Graham Hick except instead of not being able to convert 50's to 100's he can't convert 20's to 50.

I'd bat Root at three Bairstow at 5 or 6 and add Buttler, surely he could average 20 as well and he's just great to watch
