Kimmorley is again doing a great job making up for Gower's mistakes. Anderson will remind them to be patient in the second half, if we hang on to the ball we will win.

Two to go. We were patient, although still scrappy. A brilliant individual try by Noddy got us back into the game, and his field goal has us ahead...

The truth about the game had nothing to do with patience.

David Waite made many tactical erros in the second half, the most important being left with 4 interchanges at fulltime & 1 player with no game time.
Absolutely ridiculous. He will come in for a scathing.

Best forward on the field was Webcke.Next Anderson & Fielden.
Morley does the same & should be suspended. Again! Little impact on the game except for the first try.

Noddy did the same, Nothing kicks & waste of time inside passes. & his over involvement meant his name was called out every play. Except for defense of course. As a result the backs saw no ball.
His solo try was good, where he isolated the big anderson. Of course he had to take the 1 point shot, even though Gower & lockyer were in position & are proven exponents. Kimmorleys shot scraped through.

Mander had a shocker with a very lopsided penalty count & at least 4 bad calls against the pommes.

But a good game. Shame it didn't go to a decider

Oh, not really. It'll be interesting to see how you cope this week, now that Noddy and Opes have proved you wrong again :D

Nothing kicks

what game were you watching?!

Set up 1st try

Won game with drop kick

How many repeat sets did his boot win us again? i lost count, and it was about a 2.3m in goal

Two perfect chip kicks. One that was a definite try had wing not knocked on.

Hit the chest of the fullback a few times, but allround, his kicking was exceptional.

Take a back seat reefy. You can't sway anyone or win this one. The whole world, bar you, thinks BK was head and shoulders over the rest in this game.

Take off the Opes stained glasses will ya?

Noddy's nothing like kicks????
Looks like the nothing like kicks won the ashes. As Andrew Johns said"Kimmorley was head and shoulders above every other player on the field". You dont have to be a genius to work out who was man of the match.
You make some good points BTR but I'm afraid I cant agree with your judgement on half-backs. eg.Berrigan the best player in the NRL,Sullivan should be the sharks half back. Try giving credit where credits due and dont let your obvious dislike of Anderson and Kimmorley cloud your judgement as a lot of what you say is very constructive.

I will cope great actually!!
Australia could lose another 13 players & still beat the pommes.
Only they would win by more with a decent coach.
Of to the dogs next year jimbo.

I actually didn't say he bad a game. Just the same game.
I don't think 6 good kicks out 46 attempted kicks is a good result. it's negative & boring. Lockyer was the man to take the 1 point shot & he was in postion. & he is better at them. You know a Noddy kick is 50/50 at best. With so much riding, why not give it to a professional?
BTW, I am still backing Berry to turn 2003 around.
& Sullivan was my choice at half if the kimmorley( I must control everything) attitude doesn't change or the Anderson sacking means he leaves for the UK.

You must have hated the English commentary, they love Brett, and he played very well. Our 2nd half defence won us the game.
The GB commentator said it all for me - 10 mins to go 20-20 deep inside Ozzie territory, 'go the field goal put the nail in the coffin'. Please, put it in goal and get a repeat set. That is a mind set that will see them keep losing the ashes.
Well done Chris and the boys, they have proved our virtually 2nd string side can beat the Poms - something we have said for years and now, IMO have proven, couldn't do the kiwis with the 2nd stringers.

DAMMIT
I remember my alarm going off but I think I was too inebriated to get up, and I'd only got one hour's sleep.

I missed the game. DAMMIT!

Me too ss.....too much bourbon..........the game is to be televised on paytv this morning but unfortunatly the tennis is running late so have to sit it out and wait. By all the comments this morning sounds like it was a great game, so I can't wait to see the replay, especially as BK was the best on park

20 all with about ten to go.

GB have four interchanges left & 1 player(Sean Long) had not seen any game time.
GB ready for 1 point shot, Gower comes up quick so they run & get caught on the last tackle. Turnover.
OZ go up field & in range. Struggle over a few sets to get centred.
GB walking wounded = 3 players. Still no bench movement except for Long who comes to the sideline, but does not go on.
Kimmorley shoots the field goal. 21-20
GB Kick off short & should have regained, but looked too tired to jump on the ball. Oz go up field & GB penalized for two man strip. Fitz shoots the two points. 23-20
GB kick off & again should have regained. Actually caught the ball, then just dropped it like it was too hot.
I don't know if Long made the field or not.
Waite will be in serious trouble over this I think.
