I agree but I don't think either Marschke or Muhleisen did enough to warrant a spot on the bench compared to other players. Marschke just didn't get enough mins imo. I also think we have enough utility coverage in our 17 without having a designated utility on the bench. Maybe something for later in the season depending on health of our team. He certainly won't do it while Liddle is under an injury cloud.

4 forwards on the bench would be nice and even though you're right, we could shift players around I reckon Flanno will want a utility on the bench for safety sake, to cover an injury to a back (1-7) or in case Liddle needs a rest. Marschke is the more versatile but I was impressed with Mulheisen's 51 passes and 42 tackles in 43 minutes last week and that's after a strong showing in the reserves game. Hard choice and a shame we don't have a better utility choice. Tuipulotu might be in the picture as well.

Mulheisens passes were slow & he was a bit indecisive imo. I can see why Flanno tried to bring in another hooker. The trend in the NRL is 2 hookers now, whether it's because of a lack of quality hookers or strategy, I'm unsure.

Tuipulotu will be good once he gets familiar with our defensive system. He was brought in late, so he's a bit behind. No need to rush him at the moment.

Marschke I think will be that 14 for us given he apparently trains at hooker regularly, however given it was Conner that played all the hooker minutes in the trial.. maybe Flanno has another idea.. or maybe he just wanted to give Conner a run and see if hes up to it as there are decisions coming up with hooker recruitment.

Both Conner and Marshke played the NSW Cup game on the weekend also, so make what you will of that..

im leaning towards 4 forwards because we have so many plaers that can shift possies if an injury actually occured

Kyle Flanno already shifts right and handles quite a bit at hooker and allows Liddle to catch his breath

BUT you would have to think given Connors involvement so far he is in the 17
