We usually rate the top 3 Dragons each week. What about the full year.

I will start the ball rolling.

3 - Tariq - Most consistent of the back 3 all year. They all played well but Sims was more consistent
2 - Frizzell - 2nd best but not by much. Origin may have slowed him down abit. How lucky are Saints to have Friz and Sims.
1 - De Bellin - Made origin due to great form. Played busted but still tried hard.

Simply the Dragons backrow was a standout this year and the reason they did well was purely because of them.

Is there a better backrow than this? Apparently there is as Josh Jackson got the Daly M ahead of these 3.

Agree with your top 3

3 - Tyson

2 - Simms

1 - Widdop

Wouldn’t argue if JDB, Vaughan, LAM, McInnes or Graham replaced Widdop

Promising signs early on from Duffman and Aitken and later from Nene, Lomax and JP. Think Hunt was better than he was portrayed and will be important to our future successes

JDB was injury affected and just misses out. Widdop was excellent before injury and leading point scorer.

Took us from April Premiers to June.

I’d extend them all 4 years.

Why only 3?? That's hard. Well if I must,

3. The back row.
2. Widdop.- We are so much better when he plays!
1.The Duffman, Encouragement award!! Sometimes criticised but scored some great tries through sheer speed etc. Worried me sometimes under the high ball but I love the grin he gets when he scores a try. Smile on his dial from ear to ear. That brings me to my feet clapping. Great to watch.

Special mention to all the boys really. We led the comp for the best part of the year. Had some losses but made up for the Brisbane game. I had tears rolling down my face watching that game (must have been something I ate) and reinforced why I love this great club. To give it to the Broncos in the way the boys did in spite of everyone on the planet (and beyond) gave us no chance was just one of those special memories.
Thanks for the ride fellas. See ya next year!
