Mannering really? Worked hard on defense but had two shocking penalties (both might have been 5th tackle). He played 10x better last week.

I thought Mannering was exceptional again. Hit hard in defense. I don't know how many meters he ran, but I would imagine it was more than anyone else aside from Fisiiahi and Manu.

Woeful metres gained by the entire team really, but I think the Capt was our best, over 100 at least.

2. Mannering - was really involved again but that last penalty hurt us.
1. Lowrie - for tackling, tackling, tackling against some much bigger forwards. Also linked up a couple of times in attack (for one try too). Nice to see him want to take on Williams one-on-one too. Someone needs to do that.

Great venue, maybe it should have been the Wellington Dolphins in the comp after all?

Friend had guys twice his size running at him the whole game and just made tackle after tackle after tackle.

How utterly depressing and disheartening. Thought the guys played pretty well, just couldn't hold out a building team that steamrolled their way back. Stoked for the Fish, he went well today. Some of those Dogs are huge, we did pretty good to hold them out on a few ocassions. Was a bit frustrated some of the big Doggies got away with some dirty cheap shots in the tackle

Taylor can FO with those one handed carries. What a dud player he is. I've got no idea why people like him.

Fair point. But I felt his contribution in the first half was a big part of why we got to 16-0. Tremendous Go forward and defence. Don't think he did too much wrong in the 2nd half. And I'm pretty critical of him at the best of times.

I loved Packer's efforts in the first half, looked like he was really embracing taking on that big Dogs pack and he made a nice play for that try also.

I agree that he didn't do too much wrong in the second half, he wasn't bad as such but the impact from the first wasn't there.

3 - Fish, disappointing last effort on Reynolds, but looked keen in first half, bit unlucky with Innis taking him out with nothing but eyes for him.

2 - Henry, turned up on defence against some big traffic.

1 - Friend, a tackling machine, great hands picking up some play the ball between his legs.

Big props to Manu, Packer, first half Mateo and Mannering except for his dumb penalties, don't know if Innis just got to him?
