So good!!

3- Friend. Made such a big difference having his service out of dummy half.
2- Mannering. A much needed game from him, minus a few errors.
1- Matulino. A typical performance from him.

3. Friend
2. Matulino
1. Laumepe

Hon. mentions: Locke, Hurrell when he had the ball, Johnson, Leuluai, Mannering. The whole team were quite impressive though, especially in attack.

3 Shaun Johnson
2 Bill Tupou - WTF was up with that, bloke was a collosus taking the ball forward tonight... its like alien invasion stuff to see him going forward with power.
1 Simon Mannering. Defended like a collusus, and aside from one mistake, got more heavily involved carting the ball forward.

Heaps of them played well TBF, Hurrell aside from that horrible drop after the amazing slips catch was good going forward, Leuluai I thought was very good, Matulino excellent as per normal, Friend made a big difference, Laumape also good, and Locke outstanding in defence.

Easily the better team tonight.

For a bloke that cops a lot, Tupou was outstanding for you today

Totally agree, he's actually been quite good this year so far. Will be interesting to see what happens when Manu is back as Laumape has been good and I thought fish played pretty well in his two games.

3. Johnson
2. Tupou
1. Matulino

Tupou's defense is still the big concern for me. But yes, great game

3. Johnson - good direction and testing defence with runs - never done this before
2. Locke - starting to play to his standard also...hope he is ok
1. Friend - steady and good service - good for Godinet to stay on bench to give him a rest

Toupou ok...he made good meters...but hey, that his job anyway...just cut your mistake out mate and you can stay in team forever.

3. Tupou - because it was so far above what he's offered over the years. He was playing for his career really and it showed (for once). We can't underestimate the big boots he filled today in Manu's absence.
2. Friend - welcome back. And so soon, thank goodness.
1. Lowrie - solid amongst all that attacking play. His style is often overlooked of course when things get thrown around and the luck bounces our way.

Hon. Men - the coach. Let's not forget how under siege he's been, with that added crap he had to cop in the last few days with that article.

I wanted to give a point to Mannering but no, he's expected to play that way and show leadership. He's not getting a point just because he did so for first time in ages.

tupou was good. i'm just still unable to work out why anytime he's on the park he's never within 20 metres of his sideline, and it's not just his fault. the centres all come infield too.
