3. Dallin - He got us back in it.
2. Tuaupiki - a nice 'debut', as in, announcing himself in a big game, for what seemed the first time.
1. Johnson - ran hard, defended strong, passed deceptively, troubled Melbourne.

Fonua-Blake ran for 190 metres. So I might upgrade him before Tuesday!

1. AFB

AFB is pretty much irreplaceable, so few deliver that sort of performance week in week out with no fuss

So many good signs, but devastating result…

i keep thinking it would have been better money spent getting a decent hooker in the offseason (was there anyone?) rather than Capewell. Lussick is so slow in everything he does and considering Egans injury history, it seemed like a no brainer to get someone more capable than Lussick. But here we are.

3. DWZ - Was on fire, never stopped charging at the line all night
2. SJ - Flawless kicking game, strong defence, if he's not fit we're screwed
1. Ford - When he cuts out those annoying mistakes he goes through a ton of work and never stops trying

HM - RTS, AFB, Berry, and the underrated Walker who came on and suddenly a new gear was found.

I thought Lussick and Tuaupiki went all right, they had inexperience / rust against the Sharks but they tidied it up and the group really clicked in the second half. It would have been one of our all time great comebacks! Still gutted about it. Curious to see if CHT is in the dummy half planning.

Capewell is a bit plod so far, I hope we see better.

3- SJ- if he keeps kicking like that, we'll win more than we lose.
2- DWZ- that's the DWZ we want.
1- AFB- so reliable. so exceptional.

HM- Tuaupiki, Berry- easily our number 1 centre at the moment.

Missed Egan, to state the obvious. Still missing CNK, although Tuaupiki was better.

Generally good, but not good enough. Would have been great to win that one.

Yeah, we do need a better option.

Lussick is fine. Of course he isn't on Egan's level but Egan was once Lussick once upon a time a go. If Egan is coming good especially under Webby, so can Lussick.

Had to really think this week on who didn't deserve points.

3. SJ.
2. Ford.
1 Berry.

Nice signs from Roger. AFB is a monster - going to be hard to replace. Ale showed signs.

yep, disappointing so far
Haven’t seen the Warriors play as yet, but always had the feeling with Capewell that he was an average NRL player made to look a lot better than that by being in red hot squads, bit like everyone that used to leave Melbourne (Blair, Hoffman etc)

Capewell is a bit of a worry. Has been culpable for a few defensive clangers and been very quiet on attack. Has been carrying an injury, but if that's going to be an ongoing thing then it can't be relied on as an excuse. He has been done for pace a few times defending on his edge.

I think some people may have had the wrong idea about Capewell being a "veteran Aussie hard man" because it's just not the role he plays. He's a specialist edge forward who can play centre at a pinch. He's not a high work rate guy and the role he plays relies on athleticism so age is not his friend.

Interesting that despite being the better side through 79 minutes we weren't worthy of a single Dally M point....
