3. Gallen
2. Morris
1. Stapo
SMs to all of them.
Actually looked like a footy team in a Sharks strip last night AND how much that has got to do with having a proper half can't be underestimated.
CT wasn't MOTM. Wasn't close. Made some blues etc. But he's halfback through and through and him being on the field has released the shackles of those outside of him and dare I say has made Gallen relax into a better style of game.
Can't wait to see CT after 50-60 games.
Agree 100% with your views on Gallen and Townsend.
In the last 2 weeks Gallen has gone from ball playing before the line to hitting holes and the results are clear, 3 tries and TA. He is much more of a threat now that he has left the ball playing and focused on hitting holes.
CT has provided a poise and clarity of thinking not evident in this side for ages. He is a long way from the finished article but he doing what needs to be done. Graham benefited significantly from doing less as well.
For the record
3 - Gallen - Doing the tough stuff and the smart stuff. Warrior.
2 - J Smith - Provided authority when we weren't going great. True leader.
1 - Stapo - looking like he belongs. Tougher and more confident. Was covering Mead on the last play of the game.
I also liked Jon Mannah's game. Not many minutes but landed on his front every time and bent the line with a good PTB. Best I have seen him go in a while.
