Ireland should post a good first innings total which should make for a great chase for Zimbabwe.

Porterfield needs to learn how to rotate the strike he just keeps plodding along at a low strike rate.

What a finish. Ireland out of jail. Tom Moody's eyes are painted on but either way, massive props to Sean Williams for taking the fielder at his word.

Porterfield is a handy cricketer but his captaincy and use of his bowlers needs to be better. Kevin O'Brien has been pasted at the death every time, he was lucky big tall Mooney was there to catch Williams or he would have certainly lost Ireland the game

Porterfield needs to fix his batting approach as well but I don't think he really has much of a choice in giving Kevin 10 overs of pie chucking.

He could use him better. I think with the likes the O'Brien's and Balbirnie down the order, and Stirling with him at the top, his batting approach is fine. If old fashioned. Blunt the swing a bit so the middle order can play naturally.

But he insists on using O'Brien at the death when he as a couple of very canny spinners and two quality opening quicks. He really needs to start getting 10 sneaky overs out of O'Brien as early as he can, he's not a bad all rounder but he's fodder at the death.

Fantastic match though, this is exactly what the world cup brings.
Great to see two teams playing with spirit, unlike the Windies who just don't give a fk
