This is Afghanistan's chance to take home a big scalp, nobody better than the utterly demoralized poms.
The trio of Shapoor/Hamid/Dawlat are well capable of keeping England to below 250, just need their batting to through.

All minnow jokes aside, you would think given the pasting they've received since the Bangers debacle that they would be sufficiently fired up to wipe the floor with AFG. However, if they really are that pea-hearted, they may just be looking to get home and thus could open themselves up to a close call or worse.

Or they're just completely shit and will get cleaned up anyway.

But who knows, will depend on what the data says.

I'll be there.

The poms did give up against us at the scg last year. That said if they lost to Afghanistan they will be literally barred from returning home so there is little chance of an upset now. It would be hilarious if Afghanistan could run them close though.

Don't think the Poms are pea hearted enough to lose this one but would love to see Afghanistan get up.

You'd imagine the Poms will throw Treadwell and Bopara in to justify having bought them a plane ticket too. The way they've handled fast swing bowling this tournament suggests to me those two Afghan quickies who take the new ball could cause some real damage.

Bopara's exclusion was strange, they had a woeful Ballance for a long time and then dropped him for inexperienced T20 specialist Hales instead.

Broad is an empty shell of the player he once was, Bell was always a minnow basher, Anderson looks disinterested. Prior fell apart, Trott and Swann abandoned ship, Cook was made the scapegoat, KP (their best player) was forced out.

The rest of the guys are clearly trying, and poor Irish Morgan is stuck leading this mob.
I feel sorry for these individuals but not for England as a whole.

I hope Afghanistan rubs it in with another upset, then a much needed clean-out should take place.

Afghanistan have some real nice bowlers but sadly there batting is a bit thin,if they could find a few good batsmen somewhere they will be a solid team.
