Even though this match is going to finish within 3 days, I'd much prefer to watch tests like this at Mumbai compared to the high-scoring, flat-track pitches that have become commonplace around the world over the past two decades. The high-scoring tests perpetuate the stereotype that test cricket is boring etc.

Although not as heavily skewed in favour of the bowlers such as the Mumbai 2004 and Indore 2023 tests, the bowlers in this test have had something to work with, which completely changes the entire momentum and flow of the game when the batsmen have to work for their runs.

Wow, that was an absolute ripper from Phillips. Spun right through the gate! Perfect off-spinners ball there.

NZ just one wicket away from being the first touring team to ever clean sweep a 3 match test series in India.

At least Ian Smith wasn't in the commentary box at the winning moment.
He would've absolutely creamed his pants!

2nd lowest ever 4th innings target defended in a test match in India.

Once again, well done to the Kiwis. Achieving what they weren't able to during the Hadlee era

Milestones throughout the series

1st test: NZ's first test win in India since 1988

2nd test: NZ's first ever test series win in India

3rd test: NZ become the first touring side to clean sweep a test series (min. 3 tests) in India (eclipsing South Africa's 2-0 clean sweep in 2000)

Awesome stuff from NZ. Got to be their greatest series win. 85/86 series rates pretty highly, but beating Australia in the 80s was a much easier task than beating India at home in 2024.

Time looks to be catching up to a few of the Indian players. No excuse not to beat them 5-0 this summer.

Go the Kiwis

Probably the greatest whitewash against all odds we will ever see in test cricket.

Massive implications for the WTC

Australia can knock India out with a 4-1 or even 3-1 victory i reckon.

Opens it up for the Kiwis to meet us at Lords.

And everyone in Clapham will congregate to the home of cricket.

I don’t wanna be a hater but we will probably back up this result by losing to the poms at home.. lol
