Kane needs a huge test for us to be in it

Some of our players look done and shithouse squad means no options

On a semi-related note, NZ-A is playing India-A in a 3rd (unofficial) Test, with the previous 2 being drawn. They are 4 day matches. Today is the last day. India are 37 runs behind with 9 wickets in hand in their second innings. Another draw is highly likely from here.

The guy really putting his hand up is Doug Bracewell. 5-78 off 22 overs and then 55 with the bat (batting at 7). Could be a handy replacement for old mate CDG.

Yasir on a hat trick after a Watto review from Raval and absolute cement feet from Taylor lets a ball through onto the pegs.

Is there another spinner in world cricket as delightful to watch as Yasir Shah?

What a great spinner he is - that delivery to Taylor was a beauty.

3 for Yasir.

Heading to quickest player to reach 200 Test wickets.

Two more to go for him.

Will probably reach it this innings, with New Zealand pulling their best Australua impersonation...

He's pretty special and has done Taylor with some great deliveries
But we have too many brain farts to compete, need something special from Williamson and Watling now

Watling showing plenty of grit but he definitely needs to start rotating the strike or something.

15 off more than 90 balls...ok the 90 balls is good, and he's built a fifty run stand with Bradmanson, but if he gets out soon he's done nothing bar block up an end and put more pressure on Bradmanson and the long tail.

You'd cop a SR of 35 or so easy in this situation, but 15 tells me he's shut up shop entirely.

Watling 15 from 100 balls, Kane 76 from 160

I don't mind that,
they were 4 for not much, now 4/151
great partnership

Runs will flow as bowlers get more and more tired and give up

who is the commentator who is basically wanting Watling to play differently, PISS OFF

He really should be looking for more singles.

The partnership has been good, but all the scoring (and therefore all the pressure to score) right now is on Williamson. If Watling gets out that increases again.

It's a fine line, with their long tail, but striking at 15 or 16 is too low. He doesn't need to start trying to belt the thing, but he's got to look for more opportunities to rotate the strike for mine. Get that strike rate around 30 and even that lifts a lot off Bradmanson
