I respect Watson for that dig.

And yes I cannot believe I'm using the words 'respect' and 'Watson' in the same sentence.

Given the context of the game, he played the right way and even though he got out he got out doing the right thing. Doolan could learn a thing or two.

Also, I would have declared with the lead at 450. We're getting to a point where runs are meaningless and we're just wasting time without any purpose.

you'd still be batting at brisbane you gimp!! Doolan was playing for his spot can't blame him for his for his knock. Watson the golden child had nothing to lose he was given that licence and was under no pressure for his place in the side. You want to blame someone blame the captain or coach who didn't send watson in earlier.

Time I reckon not runs, dont lose wickets before lunch, come out hard after for half the session. Bowl. 4 1/2 sessions.

Reminds me of Gilchrist - we do not see that sort often. Enjoy it while we can. Warner is getting more consistent and is fecking brilliant. I hope he does this for another 6 years mate.

That last 6 he hit sounded sweet. Funny to think that a year ago I thought our batting line-up had no hope. Now with Warner and Smith we've got a great base there.

So 52 overs left today.. what's the usual for a change-over.. 5 overs? Even allowing for the inexplicable batting with slug Doolan before lunch.. we should have more than enough time

The only thing I can think of for why we're still batting is the idea a 30-40 min period before lunch is more mentally challenging on a batsmen than 1 hour +
