The decider.

Starts tonight 730pm AEDT

India should win. Be massive if SA get up considering the overhaul of players they have had recently and De Kock retiring after the first test loss

Kholi returns

Team news

South Africa are unlikely to make any changes to the XI that won at the Wanderers. That will mean there won't be a debut for top-order batters Sarel Erwee and Ryan Rickelton, while seamers Glenton Stuurman and Sisanda Magala also have to wait their turn.

South Africa (probable): 1 Dean Elgar (capt), 2 Aiden Markram, 3 Keegan Petersen, 4 Rassie van der Dussen, 5 Temba Bavuma, 6 Kyle Verreynne (wk), 7 Marco Jansen, 8 Keshav Maharaj, 9 Kagiso Rabada 10 Duanne Olivier, 11 Lungi Ngidi

After missing the Johannesburg Test because of upper back spasms, Kohli comes back in, with Hanuma Vihari most likely sitting out. Kohli also confirmed that Siraj, who picked up a hamstring concern at the Wanderers, isn't fit to play. Either Ishant Sharma or Umesh Yadav could take his place.

India (probable): 1 KL Rahul, 2 Mayank Agarwal, 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, 4 Virat Kohli (capt), 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Rishabh Pant (wk), 7 R Ashwin, 8 Shardul Thakur, 9 Mohammed Shami, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Ishant Sharma/Umesh Yadav

Shaping up as a great test

Stumps Day 1
India all out 223 (Kholi 79)
SA 1/17

Don't mind this Marco Jansen kid. Taller than Glenn McGrath with a Bruce Reid type body
Reminds me of Pigeon on his first tour to the west indies and giving them curry

SA's attack is bloody good-best in the world atm arguably.
The much-vaunted aussie one has proven itself a bit overrated over the past 2 years unfortunately.

Runs flowing for SA at the moment but I reckon 1 wicket and the Indians are right back in it.

Peterson cutting off of middle stump is a bit dicey - it's not a T20 bruh

Carrying Lyon will do that.

I saw Kholi's reaction, is he ever happy ?

What a bunch of petulant children. Yeah it looked out on first viewing, but replays show quite a bit of bounce from a ball that pitched only a few feet in front of the batsman.

That LBW over turned was a joke, India robbed. In any case cant carry on like tools

But I must say, good to see Kholi having a little dig at SA. Considering we are apparently the only devils in ball tampering

Dean Elgar was given a reprieve on review in the 21st over of the final innings of the match, with South Africa on 60/1, chasing 212 to win the series when Ravichandran Ashwin hit Elgar on the pads.

On-field umpire Marais Erasmus gave the South African captain out lbw but the decision was overturned on review after ball-tracking showed the ball going over the stumps.

The technology is authorised by HawkEye, which is an independent body which relays the data to the host broadcaster, which in this case is SuperSport.

But that didn’t stop a furious Kohli walking up to the stumps and speaking into the mic, saying: “Focus on your team while they shine the ball. Not just the opposition. Trying to catch people all the time.”

Vice-captain KL Rahul was also heard immediately afterwards complaining: “It’s the whole country against 11 guys.”

Ashwin then added: “You should find better ways to win, SuperSport.”

Even the on-field umpire was surprised at the referral and was seen shaking his head as the pictures were shown on the big screen at the stadium and heard saying, “that’s impossible”.

Paras Mhambrey, the bowling coach, said in his press conference, “We saw it, you saw it. I’ll leave that for the match referee to have a look at it. There’s nothing I can comment on it now. We’ve seen it all, just want to move on with the game now.

Classic behaviour from the Indian cricket team. They like to get their back up about anything and use it as motivation. Let's see if it works tomorrow.

Great innings from Pant. Playing a bit like Gilchrist. Has single handedly put India in a competitive position.

Indian cricket team are the biggest sooks in history, I definitely think it was out but the carry on is next level.

GOAT copped a very similar one in the 2nd test I think it was.

Watched the full vid...Kohli, Ashwin and Rahul should cop bans.

Deadset garbage.

#UglyIndians

At least they can't abandon the test tour in protest since it's about to end.

I'm sure they'll find a way to get it overturned.
