6 off the over. Zero risk. Cummins is such a f**king fraud
Regardless of the result at Old Trafford, the strategy surrounding field placings needs a complete overhaul for the next test at The Oval. Regardless of who's the architect behind this strategy - whether it be the coach, bowling coach, captain - the Aussies have become too fixated on this short-ball nonsense and way too many fielders on the boundary for most of the innings, especially on a pitch that doesn't have anywhere near the pace and carry in Brisbane and Perth (several balls were already shooting low this test, such as the one that dismissed Joe Root on day 2).
As I mentioned in another post, despite winning by only 3 wickets in Headingley, England were able to chase down the 4th innings target scoring at more than 5 runs per over! The backbreaker for the Aussies over the past two tests is giving away too many easy singles, allowing the Pommy batsmen to rotate the strike with consummate ease, hence the bowlers cannot build any sustained pressure. When they weren't hitting 4s and 6s, the Poms were comfortably able to whittle away at the target in Headingley with easy singles
