Rogers has done enough to stay in the team, but geniused play like that won't help his cause.
Should have been aiming to carry the bat while the others work around him.

Two new batsmen, if England are good enough they can bowl them out with a solid lead.

To be realistic, the only batsman in Sheffield Shield knocking on the door for Rogers spot is WilliamGilbertGrace. All this talk about Doolan, Silk and Maddinson is just that: talk. They've still got a long way to go before they are in contention. Barring a whole bunch of injuries, I don't see Khawaja getting a look-in anytime soon given that the selectors feel he hasn't delivered everytime he has been included in the side. In the meantime, Rogers has done enough in this series to be included in the South African tour and I wouldn't be upset about that. Wouldn't change a winning team.

OT, I laugh at everytime I hear Cummins name mentioned. Absolutely ridiculous. He is Jason Gillespie MK II (with the injuries) and although he was impressive in the only test he's played, he's only played a handful of Shield matches in his career. Needs much more time at the level to get his body used to the strenuous bowling demands of test cricket. Pattinson is definitely the next in line after Harris/Siddle/Johnson, closely followed by Bollinger and Coulter-Nile.

If something happens to Shane LBW Watson, Faulkner should definitely take his place as the all-rounder.

And here is the article regarding Skull

One of Australian cricket's most colourful characters, Kerry O'Keeffe, has called stumps on his commentary career.

O'Keeffe has announced that the Sydney New Year's Ashes Test will be his last in the ABC Grandstand commentary box after 13 summers of entertaining Australian radio audiences.

He made the announcement during the final session of day two of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.

"I've thought long and hard about it for a number of years, a number of weeks really. You know when your time is up and after 13 summers with ABC Grandstand I'm retiring from cricket broadcasting," O'Keeffe said.

"I'm going nowhere else, not entertaining anything. I've just had the best 13 years.

"But I know it's time and these 13 years have changed my life with ABC Grandstand.

"I thought I'd last one Test. I knew my commentary style was not what the ABC listener was used to. I had a terrific ride and it's time for somebody else to have a crack."

O'Keeffe has been a popular member of the ABC commentary team, with audiences enjoying not only his expertise, but his amusing take on the game.

His distinctive laugh has been a signature sound over summer and he has provided some of cricket's most memorable commentary.

Two of the most memorable broadcast moments include Kerry's "Frog in a Bank" joke and the Naga chilli eating challenge with guest commentator Harsha Bhogle.

Jokes aside, O'Keeffe's astute reading of the game and his ability to create a picture of what was happening on the ground have kept audiences coming back to Grandstand's commentary team year after year.

ABC Grandstand manager Craig Norenbergs said O'Keeffe will be sorely missed.

"Kerry has been a great asset to our cricket commentary team and has helped deliver the premier cricket radio broadcast in the country," Norenbergs said.

"He's been a firm favourite with cricket-loving audiences across Australia and will be missed both by the audience and the ABC Grandstand team."

O'Keeffe was a spin bowler, bowling leg breaks in 24 Tests for Australia and two ODIs between 1971 and 1977.

Consistent umpiring and I think it was right when it happened against England so its right when it happened against us.

If you can't give that out after that evidence then there is no point in using snicko.

No wonder the Indians refuse this shit. I know they're trying to be consistent but that's 4 blokes this series walking off shaking their head when only Snicko says they hit it.

It was blatantly out, there was a clear noise and then you add snicko to it what else could the noise that snicko and the mic picked up as it passed the bat be other than bat?
