It is remarkable to me that Johnson can stroll out to bat with the minimum of protection for facing a quick after the aggressive way he has bowled. Why don't the poms try and hit him.

Anderson may have three, but I hope this series puts to rest the "best bowler in the world" bollocks.

Brad Haddin: stand and deliver. Scoring at more than a run a ball. Although Warner has more runs than him, Haddin will be my man of the series if he manages to salvage Australia's 1st innings here and we go on to win this match.

He has been good, but Notch has that sown up.

Haddin 100. Johnson 50. Trust me.

Because he'll smash them to the boundary.

England have benefited greatly from that dropped outfield catch yesterday, KP goes there and they are out for 200 odd.

Plus choosing to bat 2nd was a Xmas gift from Clarke.

Johnson should be Australian of the year

He's been brilliant no doubt, but he had a similar magical series in South Africa and was billed as Australia's big all-rounder they have been waiting for.

Then the years in between happened.

If Clarke wins the toss in Sydney, he definitely won't be putting England in first again (unless it's a pitch like the 2010 SCG test vs Pakistan)

I think a bowler like Johnson needs to have Harris and Siddle keeping it tight and putting pressure on the batsman. While they are doing the job Johnson can run in and bowl like a maniac. He couldn't lead the attack though. That's Harris job
