Johnson out. If one or two more wickets fall here, we could be in trouble.

I'm hoping we can at least make it to stumps, and then bat as long as possible tomorrow due to the extreme heat. No stupid T20 shots like Warners dismissal; just sensible, smart cricket. There's still plenty of time left in this test, so much to the detriment of Harris and Siddle (who are our fast bowlers), they will need to hang around at the crease for as long as possible. Harris moreso, as his body is stuffed as it is and we need him to bowl as well as he has sofar this series. Most important goal is to at least wipe off the deficit (get to 255).

Johnson the batsman is intriguing, on a good day he'll tear an attack an apart and on other days its 2 from 30 balls.

We wouldn't be in this predicament if we were still batting at the Gabba.

In all seriousness I'm not sure we should be playing for stumps. If we do, it'll be close to new ball time tomorrow morning and we won't have moved our score.

If we survive till stumps, the test will be decided by the new ball tomorrow in the 1st session. If the Poms skittle us cheaply and even get a small lead, I can see them posting a tough target for us. We survive that period, Harris/Siddle/Lyon hang around and we wipe off the deficit as well as posting a lead, the pressure will be on Poms in the 3rd innings.

OK we are still batting but neither side has scored freely in each innings,Clarke has to be questioning his decision to bowl first considering we will be now batting last.

You're kidding right? We completely zapped the Poms in the heat at Perth batting when the mercury was at its highest. Tomorrow is going to be a great batting day and the likes of players like Harris who are already battling numerous injuries will definitely not want to be out there bowling long spells in the heat.

Bottom line: we need to bat for as long as possible whilst scoring runs at a steady rate. The last thing we need is players trying to play like David Warner and try all these fancy, unnecessary T20 shots.

Not saying T20 shots..just make sure we don't shut up shop tonight, and keep scoring at around 3 an over.
