Hand the 2 worst bowlers of the series the new ball to waste just out of pity because they haven't got many wickets.
I been the virgin gets it next, while Hazelwood and Cummins are getting a tan.
That's the part that really annoys me: doing things out of pity.
Team result always comes first over individual records. There's too many times I've seen in cricket (international, state or club level) where a captain has bowled inferior bowlers out of pity or sympathy. I remember Mike Atherton copping a lot of flack for declaring the innings with Graeme Hick on 98* in 1995.
Who cares if Lyon is 3 wickets away from 400. If his bowling is as impotent as the elderly guy who forgot to take his Viagra in the morning, then the bowlers who look like taking a wicket need to bowl instead.
