4th Test: Australia v India at SCG Jan 3-7 2019 - MATCH DRAWN

In all seriousness why is Sydney escaping critiscism re:the pitch?

Since 1998/99 when the schedule squeezed all tests in to six weeks in late Now/early Jan, there are these myths about Australian pitches - SCG is a "turner", the WACA is "fast and bouncy" etc.

The SCG hasnt been a turner for ages since it go redone in mid 90s. The traditional WACA was hard baked at end of January.

They're all prepped to formula now and mostly dead roads.

Gee we have deteriorated since JL took over, I mean I dont want to burn his happiness but..................

Starc and Haze were the best opening bowling partnership in the world imo, both averaging under 30, now they both average over 40 since JL took over. Whether its field settings, bowling plans or just poor technical coaching some thing is rotten here.

You expect a new coach to build on your weaknesses not weaken your strengths.

Why the f**k are we not rotating the 3 quicks, why are we so stiff and regimented that we have to open with Haze and Starc when Paddy is our best bowler, I mean who the f**k holds back their best attacking weapon ? (rhetorical question)

Also, getting technical here but wtf is gone on with Oozie's technique ? I remember back about 10 years ago when he was playing for NSW in an ODI game and AB commented when he first saw him that he was a left handed Tendulker. He was close to technically perfect (AB's words).

Now, he is front on instead of side on. He got forward to the pitch of the ball, now his weight stays on the back foot while he reaches forward with the hands, well away from the eye line. He also plays just about everything from the crease when facing the quicks. Defends from the crease instead of lunging forward. So much has changed.

How can a good technique deteriorate like that while playing at international level under the our current coach, who used to be our batting coach. The same batting coach we had when Phil Hughes had to pay a proper batting coach to try and correct his deficiencies.

I know its been tough as we are up against a very good Indian team but at least we should be competitive and not just bending over, pants down, like we are currently doing.

Things need to change at CA but they wont.

JL has to go, There’s a start. If Smith was still Captain I wonder how he’d respond to JL? Yes Justin you were a very good opening batsmen but you’re a damn ordinary coach.

The saddest part is they could have had Dizzy. Makes teams better and wins. The JL appointment reeks.

JL aint going anywhere, not yet

Has just started basically and has bought time regarding Smith and Warner not being around

plus the players he picks wont say boo about him, that's why he picks them

We get thumped by SL, then with Warner/Smith perform badly at the WC and Ashes then possibly, but some internal issues need to be brought up from the inside out, sponsors drying up will help too

But atm, its a friendly happy group who are working extremely hard but just not getting results they are working so tirelessly hard for
