England have won game 3 by amassing the highest total in ODI history 3/444
Hales top scored with 171 knocking off England's previous individual highest score of 167 set by Robin Smith way back in 1993 .

England have the potential to build a very good one day side for the next world cup.

But hopefully they'll peak too early or choke as per normal :smiling_imp:

Thats a massive score. I don't really like scores over 350 in one dayers. Just doesn't sit right with me.
England continue to get better in the ODI format though.
Who knows they might actually put up a decent fight in the next world cup in England, or they could embarrass the crap out of their fans with a dismal showing.

Trevor Bayliss and Paul Farbrace are slowly turning the Poms into a force in ODI'S. They have weeded out the plodders from the test side and turned around the English mentality of the 90's. Which was then slowly laying blocks of an innings before launching out in the last 10 overs. Now they have finally caught up to the 21st century of smash and bash cricket.

Couldn't agree more, its no longer a competition between bat and ball, its just an extended version of T20 and thats just not cricket for mine.

Who'd wanna be a bowler on those pitches

In fairness, watching the replay now, the Pakistani bowling and fielding has been rank awful from very early on. Wahab got Hales and Buttler on no balls, they've dropped a bunch of catches and fielded like a Sunday pub side. It's a flat track but Pakistan have basically given the Poms hitting practice. They just keep putting it right in the slot or bowling full tosses, guys like Hales and Buttler must have thought it was Christmas.

Obviously pitches are getting flatter, but the way Pakistan played England would have scored 350 batting on the infield to be perfectly honest

England win game 4 easily over night. Pakistanis batting is very ordinary in this format of the game and their fielding is woeful.

England didn't have it all their own way. Slumped to 4/72. Stokes & Bairstow got them back on track with a century stand. But you right Pakistan fielding was woeful. Batting was much better either. Usually a target in this day and age of 250 in ODI format is par really.
England have a rare chance to win a ODI series clean sweep.
