50 first grade games

You ask ANY top player they will say you aren't a first grade until you have played 50 NRL matches.

How are our young guys going to get this chance unless they are playing in first grade?

We don't have the luxury of having a good "senior" team so I think playing the "kids" is our only option.

Some people don't agree but I'm afraid if we don't then next year we will again have a whole bunch of young players who aren't experienced enough, and our oldies would have either moved on or be another year older and NO better.

The PANIC BUTTON (TM) has been pushed......so what, if we continue to get smacked by 50 and we have a team full of PL players then you'll be happy? Makes no sense.....so you want them to have a losing experience and get used to losing repeatedly which will adversely affect their attitudes and confidence levels - in effect, destroying any potential before it gets to first grade level? Come on

Agreed to an extent, so lonag as we dont pack the side, it still needs to be predominantly experienced.

But we aren't winning anyway, chances are we will lose at least 75% of our remaining games. We aren't going to make the semi's so why play guys weho have no future?
I know what you mean about getting flogged because they are inexperienced but hey if they know they have a future here and they go through it together it may be character building.
The thing is it's just my opinion, you don't have to like it, if you don't agree fair enough, but if we stick with the O'Neill's, Graham's Buettner's then we will get absolutely no where, if we make some changes introduce 4 or 5 or 6 guys into the team and let it build and stick with it in another 12 months these guys will be a TEAM.

What`s your version of a Premier League player? The majority of the blokes playing week in week out in our side would be playing Premier League at any other club than ours! Most of our so called senior players don`t even stand out when they do go back to Premier League themselves where as atleast our good young players DO stand out in regularly in Premier League and funnily enough, thats where there wraps have come from!

O'Neill is contracted for a while yet, get used to it, and he's a decent player - compared to what Graham and Beuttener have served up...its a disgrace that you put him in their class

4-5 or 6 guys.....ummmmm is that almost half the starting side or what? Soon you'll turn on them after they put in some inept performances

Yeah, you weren't saying that 5 weeks ago.......what so-called "senior players" - Beuttener? Graham.....if you're using them as examples then you're plain crazy - because WE ALL KNOW that they are crap and deserve to be in PL......the fact that they don't make an impression in PL and other players that are in PL teams do is more a reflection of how crap some players have become.........raps have to come from somewhere - so who cares? PL raps don't mean you can cut first grade.....Dallalana was copping huge raps off Sharks fans but in first grade he was pedestrian so there's an example for ya
